Unfortunately when we arrived at this walled Chateau the gates were closed and the doorbell was broken. We were unable to obtain access even though we tried for over an hour. The telephone number had a message in French which we could not understand and we were unable to gain any response to our emails. Only later in the evening were we able to establish contact after we had made other arrangements. They were apologetic and arranged a refund. From the outside through the railings and gate it looked like a very nice place, I wish we had been able to stay there.PeterJersey - 10Scored 10
A great find, the rooms are clean and freshly decorated but...
A great find, the rooms are clean and freshly decorated but are small, but the location, internal decor and the food more than compensate. The staff were very welcoming and the provisions to make things safe during this pandemic appropriate and well thought out. We went for a walk along the river beach and found a great 5 km walk with beautiful scenery. But dinner was the highlight (breakfast was excellent too!) the menu was really well thought out, a good balance of fish, meat and vegetarian options. We wanted to see Angers and picked our hotel for that reason...
We wanted to see Angers and picked our hotel for that reason (approx. 1/2 hr drive) so didn't see that much of Les Ponts-de-Ce . We wished the hotel rented out bicycles (perhaps an idea) as the surrounding area of Les Ponts-de-Ce and the Loire would have been lovely to explore without the need to get into the car..

Breakfast was good but could have done with it 30mins earlier. Location on river bank was superb. A really nice hotel for either a stopover or visit to the region. Plenty of road side parking next to hotel.
