Seems, it is very authentic - not sophisticatedly modern, but warm, comfortable and domestic place near the Old City. And the problem with late hosting was solved in a very charming way. The stuff speaks French only, but there were no critical barriers in conversation and it is the good opportunity to learn it ;-)

We had a great stopover at L'Escapade. Lovely home cooked meal when we arrived and an excellent breakfast in the morning. Now probably our favourite place to stay if heading down that way again.
