Beautiful place, great for families.
Beautiful place, great for families. Leave the car in one of the car parks on the periphery of town and enjoy easy cycles and fresh air! We didn’t use our car again once the bikes were hired for the week. We went out of season, can imagine the cycling gets a bit manic in high season.AAnonymous - 10Scored 10

The overall ambiance is superb. Good restaurants. Very busy during the day. Not the cheapest on Ile de Re and certainly not in France. Bridge toll is high. Weather can be very fickle.............. Saint Martin de Re is worth visiting and there lovely fish restaurants, shops and possibly to go on cruises. A vibrant port area on the Island, where the larger ships dock in the harbour. Full of good bars and restaurants. Many people come into town for the evening and promenade around the harbour. There is a great choice of restaurants, from easy-going to high-class. It's a great place to have a very good evening of food, drink and "people watching".
