The bungalow made you feel you where at home as you had everything there you would at home. The lady kindly left us scones, cream, jam and a pint of milk and what a lovely welcome. The double bed was so comfortable and the best mattress I've ever had while away on holiday. We loved sitting on the decking outside and you can see the sea . We did need a little help with the tele as we our not great with things like that but as they live local which is great they came round and showed us. They do leave booklets with details how to use items but we always struggle so it was great of them to come round and help us. I will definitely be staying here again.

The house was located on the main road which is made of stones. You can't open the window because there is incredible noise from 5 a.m., especially cars driving on these stone or people passing by. A huge mess

We liked the town very much, although it was pirate festival so not seeing it under normal circumstances. We ate at Beamer's and The Berry Head Hotel, both excellent. There is a vibrant working harbour and the whole place is very walkable. The pirates were fun too!

Brixham is a working fishing harbour, so if you like eating fresh fish it is a no brainer. The centre is based around the harbour and there are some short flat walks round the harbour and along the breakwater. There are several good restaurants (not all fish), two or three nice pubs, a wine bar and a cocktail bar. There are some wonderful views if you walk up to Berry Head and the old fort. You can of course walk the coastal path north to Paignton and Torquay or south to Kingswear and Dartmouth. Or instead take the ferry or book a longer boat trip. There is also the steam train from Torquay to Dartmouth which you can intercept at Churston.

Great choice for places to eat.
Great choice for places to eat. The walks around the area are so scenic but hard going if you are not used to hiking. Lots of places where you can just sit in peace and quiet. Worth a walk up to Berry Head and the forts. Some nice nature walks as well. Also walk up to the Battery and the coves just further along the coast path.

Beautiful harbour area and stretch of the South Coast Walk.
Beautiful harbour area and stretch of the South Coast Walk. It's a lovely town that does not have the winter shut down feel of some other coastal towns in the UK, probably because it is also a working port town so never really completely switches off.
We ate in La Petit Maison and Rock Fish; both fabulous restaurants that I can highly recommend and drinks/cocktails in Liberties on the Harbour front; also very much recommended.

Brixham is an historical fishing village with a great deal of character. There are many lovely places to visit in the area which are not too far from Brixham.
The coast is lovely with lots of places to walk and enjoy the seascape.
During the summer you can take a trip on the Western Lady crossing over to Torquay.
There are a selection of local shops were you can stock up on provisions without the need to go too far.
You can also enjoy a trip on the Dartmouth Steam Railway, joining at the station stop on Dartmouth Road.
Kingswear is a short drive where there are beautiful views of the River Dart and neighbouring Dartmouth accessible by car or foot passenger ferries.

We liked the ease of access to all aspects of the town.
We liked the ease of access to all aspects of the town. The walk round the harbour to Shoalstone Pool and on to Berry Head is lovely. Lots to see. There are plenty of places to eat and drink in Brixham to suit all tastes and budgets.
The apartment was so spacious. I fell in love with the bathroom, which had room to run around in, and included a tub in addition to a separate rain shower cubicle. We also loved the view from the windows, which opened on to the harbour and marina. There were power sockets everywhere, which was awesome. And they had kindly given us two complementary bottles of wine. The rooms were exactly in keeping with the pictures they put here. Well worth the money, and definitely a place we would return to if we ever holiday in Devon again.
perhaps the highly rated hotels should pay a visit here .and learn what this phrase means [nothing is too much trouble] barry absolutely outstanding , mia a very young lady during busy breakfast well done great attitude. booked room 2 amazing view of harbour ,very clean establishment ,really relaxing break.great location car parking space actually on the harbour,if you dont wish to drive take no12 bus from depot near theatre and you can visit paignton torquay and babbacombe all in one day cost 5.50 per adult.
It’s really close to the harbour and the best of Brixham. The view from our room was unbeatable and the accommodation was spotlessly clean, charmingly decorated, and everything worked. The hosts were wonderful company and provided superb service. The menu, the quality ingredients and the chef’s flair made for outstanding breakfasts. We really appreciated the advice given about where and what to eat in town - all Herve’s tips were spot-on. The whole weekend was a joy and one we can’t wait to repeat later this year.
Our room had a wonderful view of the beautiful Brixham harbour and the colourful buildings on the other side, probably the best possible view in Brixham.
Matthew and Rosie were excellent hosts. We were visiting Brixham with a view to possibly moving there and Matthew was extremely knowledgeable and helpful.
The cooked breakfasts were really good and if you're a lover of Marmite you'll be in for a treat - I had no idea it was made in so many flavours!
The room was clean and comfortable; homely.
The location was so convenient, 5 minute walk into the centre/harbour. On site/free parking was a massive positive in Brixham. We stayed at number 6 - it was modern, clean and had everything we needed inside. Jihan was always a message away, fast at replying and so friendly. We told her that it was a get away for our early anniversary and we were welcomed with a card and a few gifts! I would definitely recommend and come back to Wavecrest. One of the best places we have stayed!
The space was fabulous, a little dark in the bedroom but with the end table lights on it was fine. Wonderful bathroom and kitchen area, although no cooktop. We managed as we didn’t want to be eating 3 meals outside. So we saved ourselves for lovely dinners in the good restaurants. It was a great location near the Quay and the grocery shop was just down the street.
The view out the windows were spectacular as it over looks the Quay. I’d stay here again!!!!
Grockle Nook was a lovely place to stay, and a fantastic base for our wider adventures in the Torbay area.
The main bed was soft and comfy and the kitchen was more than big enough and equipped enough to cook meals for breakfast and the evening.
The bus stop was just a short walk down the hill and would take you straight into Brixham in one direction and right up to Paignton and Torquay in the other.
We couldn't recommend staying here enough!
Hotel is in a great location and within walking distance into Brixham.
Bedroom was lovely, very clean and a great view. Also had a balcony with seating so could enjoy the beautiful coastline.
Food was fantastic with a great choice for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Staff very friendly and will go that extra mile in making your stay enjoyable.
Really great location , in one direction a short country walk to the beach and head the opposite direction 0.6 mile and you are in beautiful and characteristic Brixham , the best of both worlds . The apartment was spacious , well furnished and everything as advertised visually was there in reality , perfect for short and longer breaks .
Sarah and her family were so welcoming and helpful, they even lent us their ferry passes! The apartment is in the best location with sea views and a short walk into the harbour, we were really pleased when we arrived! A lovely kitchen space and everything was really comfortable!
Dolphin Cottage is simply lovely. Its situation, overlooking the harbour is beautiful. We were very lucky to have gorgeous weather so enjoyed a morning coffeeWe had everything we needed to have a relaxing stay. The app is very useful and answers every question you might have.
Great location, unforgettable views, really good facilities at High Hopes, directly adjacent to the harbour and all local facilities. Great walks along the coastal path. The parking permit included with the deal was really useful and saved a lot of hassle.
An excellent location overlooking the picturesque Brixham Harbour.
The food in the restaurant was superb and a must if you are staying any where near the hotel.
All the staff where friendly and made us feel very welcome.
Friendly staff, fabulous room with view over the harbour, great selection at breakfast and delicious meal in the restaurant.
Our room was above the bar but we would never have know, really quiet.
Nice welcome, very cozy, breakfast food and beverage available. Sound advice on where to park the car. Good live music in the bar Saturday night. Location handy for Brixham harbour and beach.
very sympathetically and lovingly restored
