Northop Hall Country House Hotel, hotel in Buckley

Located in Mold, 20 km from Chester Racecourse, Northop Hall Country House Hotel provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking.

There was no restaurant or bar on site! The rooms are comfortable but basic with the strangest shower come bath I've ever seen or tried to use. But hey you get what you pay for. For me. Ideal, for someone expecting something special...urrm maybe not.

Hafan Deg, hotel in Buckley

Hafan Deg offers stylish bed and breakfast accommodation in the small North Wales village of Maeshafn.

Sandrine and Dominic were perfect hosts, friendly and ready to chat and inform when needed. Our hosts were generous in stocking the fridge with a mug of milk, bottles of orange juice and water, as well as fruit and a selection of mini jam bottles for the croissants and filter coffee for breakfast! The twin beds, at our request, were made up into a very comfortable and wide double/king size bed in which sleep was blissful. There were two armchairs at the foot of the bed for watching TV or reading. Hafan Deg is in a small hamlet, with The Miner's Arms (no food during our visit as a chef is being sought) a one minute walk away and two other lovely pubs a short drive away that serve food. The accommodation was composed of a spacious bedroom, another with 2 bunk beds and an adjoining small dining room. Outside the bedroom was an inviting garden and decking with table and chairs and constant birdsong. You may, also, find yourself sometimes alternating in feeling you are invited guests in either an English country house or a 'maison secondaire' somewhere deep in the Normandy countryside - the place can have that effect on one. If, like us, you have never heard of the Clwydian Range, then you, too, will discover it offers much for those seeking solace in an area of outstanding mountainous beauty as well as for seasoned hikers and cyclists. And then there are the not too distant towns with castles and beaches on the North Wales coastline... Hafan Deg was a most serendipitous find, indeed. Merci/Thank you, Sandrine and Dominic!

Oak Mead, hotel in Buckley

Oak Mead is located in Wrexham, 15 km from Chester Racecourse, 22 km from Chester Zoo, and 49 km from Albert Dock. Both free WiFi and parking on-site are available at the holiday home free of charge.

ok, i need to explain me first, i work in retail, i get really sick of people and i need to switch off. when i got to the property i parked, got the key from the lock box thing, i didn't see anyone, to me this is heaven, i really like the alpine style of the room i had, i had a shower, that was awesome, the shower head was so powerful that i have realised i need an upgrade at home. the folder of information was helpful as i used info in there to get some food from the local co-op 2 miles away, then used the microwave etc, wifi was good, tv was nice and big, the bed was super comfy. the property is sort of in the middle of nowhere, perfect, and the room i had had a big window view over the rear field etc. if you like being left alone this is the place for you.

Shocking the beds the house the settee I’m shocked nothing compared to the photos on internet we had to leave early at 6am and just come home as all the family was to tired to even do what we had planned that full day it was absolutely pointless us even staying there I wouldn’t recommend what so ever
