The staff were so friendly, efficient and helpful. The hotel is in a beautiful old building, well cared for and presented outside and in. It was lovely to have a sit down breakfast with a great choice of menu and food freshly cooked rather than buffet style. We have already booked to go again, and it will definitely be our first choice of place to stay when we go to the Derry/Londonderry which we do several times a year.

There is a lot of history to learn of particular interest to the British from the first settlement to the present day. To appreciate the city it is necessary to walk everywhere- over the peace bridge, along the road with the murals in Bogside, around the Guildhall, walk the city walls and visit museums etc. Plenty of restaurants to choose from.

Really friendly helpful people. Very easy city to navigate.
Really friendly helpful people. Very easy city to navigate. Highly recommend participating in a walking tour (around the walled area) of the city. Takes about an hour, but is really helpful (historically).
We had just an overnight & until the following early afternoon. Will definitely be returning!
Street parking close to No 9 is free of charge from 6pm until 9am, car parks close by to park in from 9am!

We went on a guided tour of city and it was really worthwhile and enlightening and gave us a feel of what the city has been through. Our accommodation was within walking distance a brilliant location . Exchange rate made things expensive. Definitely worth a visit and we will certainly return, easy to drive around.

We booked and paid for the hot tub and didn’t even use it as as soon as we checked in we leave and tried to find a better hotel
I also asked for champagne and sweets on arrival as you are not aloud to bring your own drink and we didn’t revive any thing

Went mid-week over Valentines for 2 nights.
Went mid-week over Valentines for 2 nights. The towpath walk from the hotel (Waterfoot Hotel) to the Peace Bridge and town at around 45 mins was lovely (it was a dry morning) as was the bridge itself.
Loved Sandino's quirky cuban themed bar and also the Taphouse bar near the Guildhall (Music/Singer in the Taphouse from 9pm was great on a Thursday night).
Sooty Olive restaurant (Waterside) then Silver Street bar/restaurant (main town) are both good food places to have dinner & drinks - Silver Street being more economical. City Walls a great experience also.

A beautifully decorated place very elegant..Very comfortable and we felt right at home..The staff could not do enough for us and made our stay very special.. The food was delicious and they catered for my grandson who is wheat intolerant..We needed a taxi into the city and the hotel was very kind and sorted that out for us..My grandson was really happy and wants to definitely be back me also..I would recommend this hotel to anyone..Thank you the Belfry for our lovely stay 😁
Amazing little hotel in a very quite spot, but still very close to city centre.
Comfy rooms, with nice selection of coffee, tea ( they had Barrys!:) and hot chocolate, also bottles of water, which was a really nice touch.
Staff was nothing short of fantastic, very attentive and helpful.
Food in the restaurant on site was very nice (we had dinner) and breakfast in the morning had a great selection.
Will 100 percent stay again when in Derry next.
2 queen beds were very comfortable. Enough chairs for both of us to sit and watch tv, plus one other. Big towels, and nice toiletries. Fridge. Quiet carpeted corridors and self closing doors. Ground floor room was easy for our dog. Could open the windows to air the room. Hotel is quite a walk from the city centre but it is at the end of the quay trail which is a pleasant stroll by the river and a place to execise the dog
I liked the beds they are extremely comfortable. One reason why we stayed there (from feedback) The room was very spacious especially in a city centre hotel. The historic city walls were outside the dining room window. The food is nice. Lots of different types of pillow choices i.e. flat and full. Receptionist that checked us in was particularly nice, efficient, friendly and informative. Check in and out options online.
The hotel is beautiful, nicely decorated, very clean and comfortable. We met our host Connor, he vas very polite and kind. He showed us our room and told us a short story about the hotel and the city. It was very nice to meet him.
Hotel is very close to city centre which is amazing. There is a kitchen for use, with all electrical facilties, cereals, milk, coffee. Overall.. Beautiful place, definitely will come back.
The hotel felt like haven for two travellers weary from a long road trip! The only available room had twin beds, but they were much more comfortable than anticipated. The parking was free and the parking lot was spacious. The pub food was every bit as good as the meals that we had elsewhere, and the servers were friendly and efficient. No need to leave the hotel, if you are looking for a rest stop!
Ryan at the reception desk went out of his way to welcome me to Derry and gave me a map and highlighted a couple of the spots I wanted to visit. He was so friendly and is a true asset to the hotel. Max in the bar was also brilliant, a very attentive waiter and very well trained, impeccable, like he had worked in a michelin restaurant previously.
Perfect location for shopping and walking along river. Room was well designed with comfy pillows and bed. Room was clean and facilities included an iron and hair dryer so we had everything we needed. Staff were really friendly and having breakfast included was so handy and definitely a pull to us booking the hotel.
The warm welcome when we arrived and we were still in time to have late lunch, ordered turkey and ham which we enjoyed and would highly recommend! The staff were all very nice from reception to restaurant and house keeping, we both enjoyed our stay at the Waterfoot Hotel!
This hotel is in a perfect location in Londonderry. Everything is within walking distance and there are brilliant tours available right in the heart of the city centre. The staff are extremely helpful and the food was excellent during our stay.
Lovely Boutique Hotel right in the center of Derry. Staff was very friendly. lounge had speakeasy feel on the lower level and was very comfortable to hang out at night. Restaurant staff was very attentive and nice, very good breakfast too.
The location of the Hotel was brilliant, just a short walk into Derry City Centre. Breakfast was excellent, much better than we had imagined. Comfortable Public room/bar at front of Hotel.
Beautiful, spacious and welcoming house in a great location close to central Londonderry. Excellent for visiting the city and as a base for excursions.
The location is five star to explore Londonderry. The rooms are spacious with plenty of space. The host lives next door and welcomed us when we arrive.
