Holiday Inn Express London Luton Airport, an IHG Hotel, hotel in Luton

Holiday Inn Express London Luton Airport is the closest hotel to Luton Airport Terminal Building, just a 10-minute walk away. Shuttle buses run from opposite the hotel to the airport.

Breakfast starts at 4AM and you're provided with paper bags so that you can take your breakfast with you. I really recommend the blueberry muffins and apples :) It's really quiet there but it's only around 10 minutes on foot to the airport. Bed linen and soap in the bathroom smell really nice.

FAQs about hotels in Luton

A Bedfordshire Getaway

Between 2 of England’s principal motorways, the M1 and A1(M), Luton is best known as an arrival point for cheap flights to London. A low cost carrier hub, Luton Airport is home to the unmistakable orange headquarters of Easyjet.

Booking.com offers hotels on the airport grounds, as well as accommodations including guesthouses in the town nearby, many of which offer free parking. But that isn't the only reason to visit.

Luton once had an important role in hat-making, an industry which has given its name to the Hat Factory performing arts venue. The town’s huge carnival is based in leafy Wardown Park, home of Luton Museum and Art Gallery.

Local crafts from yesteryear are displayed in the discovery center at Stockwood Park. Also here is one of the golf courses surrounding the town, and just east is a spa and swimming pool at the Luton Hoo country house hotel. Another golf course borders the Dunstable Downs to the west, and a third is by Whipsnade Zoo, the largest in the UK.

Luton shopping options include The Mall (previously the Arndale Centre), and the nearby station offers direct trains to London St. Pancras. Available restaurants cover everything from Indian to Caribbean and Malaysian.

    It is absolutely crap.

It is absolutely crap. I arrived there at around 12.30 pm, to be told that the room I had pre-booked through booking.com was not available! According to the reception staff the hotel's computer had overbooked the rooms. Not good for a single woman arriving at the hotel after a long flight to Luton to find that the room I expected had been used for someone else. It was extremely inconvenient and upsetting, I was very tired. I will never book a Holiday Inn hotel again or use booking.com.

Liked: Moss house is clean, very close to Luton railway station, perfect for short stay if travelling from Luton Airport. My room was very comfortable, warm and quiet. There are two local supermarket close by if needed. Not liked: property needs a fridge in the kitchen also a dining table and four/six chairs. A spare WC 🚾 🚽 as there is only one Bath 🛀 room in the property. Other small additions of hooks in the bedroom and bath room. Host Raj was very helpful in providing local taxi details and was available when called for help. But needs to communicate 24 /48 hours in advance of arrival of guests in order to provide comfortable and stress free check-in process.

Airport was under construction and our driver was not able...

Airport was under construction and our driver was not able to drive up to the terminal so we had to walk 15-20 minutes to meet him at the long term parking lot. Buses were running 24/7, but did not seem to know about the bus stop right outside of our hotel for pickup or drop off. Security had me do the 360 scanner with several others despite having nothing in my pockets. An agent told me to keep my watch on and that was the only thing that could have set off the sensor. Another agent told others not to lean on the wall / initial sensor as it gives a false positive. Probably why so many of us were tagged for the additional screening. Not sure if the lady was an employee of EasyJet or Luton, but a rude lady was trying to get us to pay for our carry-ons to put in the overhead bins. We had no issues with putting our bags under our seats on the flight to Luton or on the return flight, but was told repeatedly we would need to pay for 3 of our 5 bags. We demonstrated repeatedly that they fit. Also not sure if it was EasyJet or Luton, but our 6:05am flight did not depart the terminal until 6:20am and after several stop, wait, go's along the way finally finished taxiing and was in the air at 7:16am.

There is only single and big problem, at Luton airport nobody knows where can I have bus ticket, even the guys living in Luton said they don't know. I spent half an hour to ask ( even checking the automat machines) and learn for having the bus ticket. After asking tens of people I learnt that you have it in the bus by credit card. How come no body knows and how come there is no information at any where.

Great location. Walking distance to Luton station, bus stops, and conveniently close to airport. Can get to London within an hour easy by train and underground so really handy if you dont want to pay for expensive hotels in the city. Hotel is very modern, clean, and comfortable. Design was very well thought out. Definitely exceeded expectations. We were worried that the room would be too cramped for 4 adults but it was actually quite comfortable. Breakfast and drinks were decent and not overpriced. Staff were nice and friendly.

When I got to the Luton Airport Holiday Inn hotel at around midnight after a late night flight from Cyprus I was told the hotel had overbooked and that despite having booked weeks ago through booking.com they did not have a room for me. Shocking. The man in reception said he would find another hotel nearby for me and that Holiday Inn would pay for it. I said I have already paid for a room here. I was extremely angry and upset, I was tired after a 4.5 hour flight and just wanted to rest.

We were using it as a overnight stop on our way to London. Was perfect for accessing the motorway. We’d definitely use it if travelling from Luton airport. Was clear where the hotel was with parking that was a good price. Someone was at the desk to check us in on arrival. Room was clean with a very comfortable bed. Great breakfast which we precooked so was really good value. Staff were friendly at breakfast.

The hotel is very close to the airport and reachable by walk (10 minutes) or by bus (2minutes) the bus station is 1 minute walk from the hotel. It is the perfect place to stay at if you arrive at the Luton airport late at night, or when you have a very early flight in the morning. The rooms are great and comfortable. In addition, the hotel is 40 minutes by train from center of London.

Doesn’t feel like your in luton, when inside the hotel. If you have heard any stigma about luton being a run down town, still consider staying here as it’s not anything like the town Centre.
