Location to Cheshire Polo Ground. Big & spacious rooms.
Fabulous hotel and location. Rooms immaculately clean.
Fabulous hotel and location. Rooms immaculately clean.
2 uncomfortable mattresses pushed together leaving a “valley “ in the middle. Tv didn’t pick up signal . Terrible WiFi . Room service never turned up after 2 phone calls I had to go downstairs myself.
Breakfast passable but no one in charge , small portions, tea and coffee in flasks , no orange, no bowls, workman on ladder in middle of food area. Complete lack of management.

Beautiful setting , good size room, comfy bed, swimming pool was nice, friendly staff. Bit disappointed with continental breakfast, only one choice of juice, toaster didn’t toast evenly, tea wasn’t given in pots of tea but waitress brought it round which meant it wasn’t hot also very strong.. the cooked breakfast would probably be better but I can’t comment on that.

The town is beautiful and full of lovely boutique shops. There are convenient grocery shops, hairdressers and salons. There is also a post office and cash machine in the centre. I visited for a family wedding so didn’t have a lot of time to explore, but I would love to stay again and go shopping!

Room was in a very tasteful barn conversion.
Room was in a very tasteful barn conversion. Very spacious and comfortable - a good night’s sleep was easily achieved.
Was a little difficult to find a first as is located down a narrow country lane. But due to this the location was idyllic - the view from the window was of a lovely meadow.
We were only there for one night due to our schedule, but would happily have stayed longer if need be. Would certainly return if we are in the area again.

I love the style of buildings in Tarporley, high street very pleasant for a wander. Quite busy, but for me that adds to the “feel” of the area - i could quite happily live/retire to a town like this
Very spacious cottage right in the middle of the village. We loved our stay as everything was clean and fresh, it was a true home from home. The weather was cold when we stayed so we enjoyed a log fire with marshmallows and some wine, which made it extra cozy. The pub around the corner has amazing food and a great choice of local beers. Lots of lovely country walks to burn off some energy! We will be back, next time hopefully with our little dog!
Cosy, clean, well designed room. There was a problem with the TV not working which we reported to reception on the first night. This was not resolved for our second day so that was disappointing. Also, the window was left open on second day so room was freezing when we returned home that evening. The bathroom wasn' t cleaned after first night's stay. Otherwise, it is a beautiful pub, and hotel with a lovely breakfast and friendly staff.
Staff were lovely, friendly, and welcoming.
The room was clean, spacious, and well equipped for a 2 night stay.
Decor is not flawless, which only adds to the charm and appeal of the place.
The food was top rate !!! It is very fresh and hot and delicious.
5* Hotel this is not, but a 5*B&B with excellent food, great staff, beautiful area, and a relaxing few nights away, it most certainly is !!!!
Highly recommended.
Parking easy and plentiful. Nice pub in a lovely village. The owners are friendly and helpful. Their assistant Sammy is very pleasant, efficient and extremely helpful. Room was clean and we slept very well. We had a couple of steaks which were cooked to our liking. Beer was spot on and wine fairly priced. Cannot comment on breakfast as we didn’t order it. Would definitely stay there again if in the area.
Every little special touch in this pristine property was attended to- from yogurts, cereal and fresh milk for breakfast in the room, to gorgeously comfortable bedding and towels. The rural area was idyllic with Tarporley close enough for short walks to the pubs and restaurants. The hosts were incredibly friendly and we will definitely be returning sometime soon!
It’s a small hotel, but cosy! The rooms are classy, and the beds are comfy! The bathroom is beautiful and the shower is one of the best I’ve ever had!!
We came for a wedding and picked this little gem!! So glad we did, will definitely be back especially as the restaurant is due to open!
Thank you so much!!
All good! Great location in Cheshire, lovely drive to it through little villages, the castle is on a hill.
Spacious, comfy room, friendly staff and the food was excellent.
We ate in the 1851 restaurant, absolutely delicious meal. The breakfast was also very good.
Overnight stay for my birthday.
The quirky room, outside old stable room.
Staff were very helpful and welcoming.
Stayed the night before our nephews wedding in Peckforton Castle. Definitely prefer the Swan Inn to Peckforton Castle. Well worth the money. Will definitely be staying there again. Thank you
The staff were wonderfully friendly .
We had a meal in the hotel restaurant in the evening which was excellent both for price and quality of food .The hotel in a beautiful location in the Cheshire countryside with fantastic views .

Excellent location, short walk to local bars and restaurants.
Lovely house had everything we needed, exceptionally clean. Large spacious rooms and nice garden area to relax in.
Excellent communication with the owners beforehand.
The overall stay was okay. Pretty dated hotel. The setting was a really lovely but it wasn’t the nicest vibe. The breakfast set up was extremely disappointing, food very poor and the staff couldn’t have cared less.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Food amazing both dinner and breakfast. Beautiful setting. Room tastefully decorated and spotless. All public areas clean and well presented. Will definitely be going back.
