Brand new annexe on border of the Southdowns., hotel in Waterlooville

Offering a garden and garden view, Brand new annexe on border of the Southdowns. Is located in Waterlooville, 24 km from Goodwood House and 26 km from Goodwood Racecourse.

The property offered a great space for two people and two dogs and all the facilities needed. There was private off road parking and being only 5 minutes from the motorway but it was a quite, rural location. Host were very welcoming and told us about the history of the property. The dogs were as welcomed as we were and the host provided water bowls. We walked 10 mins down the road to the Four London for dinner and breakfast. They have a great selection of sharing food and indoor and outdoor seating. Though we were told it was not dog friendly inside, when we went back for breakfast, they told us they were trailing it during the day and we were allowed to sit inside. There is another pub, a coffee shop and a few takeaways in the same area as Four London Road, which is very handy if you don't wish to venture too far.

Good location for access into Portsmouth and visiting local attractions the town itself doesn't have much appeal but its convenient for M27 and A3M and has some nice food outlets and out of town shopping. Lots of historic places within 20 minute drive and great views of Portsmouth and Meon Valley from portsdown Hill x The George on portsdown Hill has amazing food and great selection of beer and is lovely and cosy . Recommend steak and kidney pudding and ham/egg/chips . Portsmouth historic dockyard and spinnaker Tower is a must see and the Forts are really interesting. Book buffs may also enjoy Chawton where you'll find Jane Austen museum

Waterlooville used to be a good town to visit, but we did have relatives that lived nearby, so that was our primary reason for visiting. Over the years we have noticed the number of shops that are closing down, but it is simple to get to Portsmouth or Gunwharf Keys

It was close to the people we were visiting.

It was close to the people we were visiting. We didn't see many people on the street, but lots of fairly empty buses rushing up and down the road. The little we did see of the street at 73's end seem to contain a lot of estate agents and takeaways.

A busy town, 20 mins north of Portsmouth, plenty of shopping, a big Sainsburys and a lot of places to eat. Some 50kw and 7kw EV charge points in town. Use Google Maps or Waze to navigate the roads in and out of town!

We thoroughly enjoyed a wonderful stay... would highly recommend. The hut was spotlessly clean and cosy and whilst compact extremely bright and airy with amazing views and outside comfort. A lovely family run business and the owner, Kim, couldn't have been more friendly and accommodating. She was very knowledgable on the beautiful, surrounding countryside and local amenities. Would totally recommend a stay here and can't wait for a return visit
