Platanias has a main road running through the street with hundreds of great restaurants and tourists shops, along with many mini supermarkets. Platanias has a beach with calm water and a shaley beach.

Busy main road, but many apartments off side roads. Good Greek bars and restaurants, which I prefer. Although lots of modern bars and shops if you want. Couple of dancing bars, not if your face, no nightclubs which is good. Restaurants serving tradition food - Nisos (by sea), Sonos (by sea). Drosia (side road). Great cocktails and drinks at Utopia, great staff, more Greek like.

Was just ok, the rooms are clean but the furniture is old and the towels stained. Breakfast was good but the same every day, the beach in front not so clean and full of little stones. The employes war friendly, specially the cleaning ladies. The garden was well cared of, lots of flowers and trees.

One of the most important things when travelling is to be able to have a good night sleep, which we had here. Great bed + pillows. The plunge pool was very nice to come back to at the end of a day out. refreshing. The house is located within a short walk to the main street for the supermarket, cafes, and the bus stop into Chania (go early) It’s also a good spot to explore the west coast in a day drive. Parking is free, easy to aces, close by and safe.
