The setting is lovely with the walls and many restaurants and places to visit. Great for walking around if you have proper footwear for cobbles. An easy ferry ride to Symi. I enjoyed everything! Easy to get around, with beauty around each corner. Such an amazing place to go, with nightlife, shopping, history, friendly shopkeepers, family-friendly and kid-friendly places and near the newer metropolis. A lovely and historical town but we had a few too many days...
A lovely and historical town but we had a few too many days there. The old town is great, go off the beaten track to avoid the tourist traps and find the more interesting cafes, restaurants and shops. The modern part of the town was like anywhere in the world and the sea front is littered with gaudy monstrosities of jail like hotels. Very glad we stayed in the old town which was quirky, quiet and personal.

By far the most impressive thing about Rhodes is the castle and the history of the area. Has to be the biggest and most grande set of fortifications any - where . I visited at the end of Feb. so no beaches. Weather is still pleasant around + 16 - +20 good temperature for hiking. I took fast ferry to Halki-one hour- walked and climbed to Castle of the Knights of St John. Took appr. 1 hr to walk - wouldn’t be fun in summer - take water. As i visited at the end of Feb. great deals on hotels, restaurants were not busy , but weather still very pleasant.Richard - 10Scored 10

Hotel in the centre of Old Rhodes town, it is in the centre to see and do everthing. But it was so quiet on a side street that u had a Comfy sleep, and did not get disturbed. Fridge in room. With water and some mythos. Nice touch. Plus coffee. A great hair dryer that was handy. The hotel is small. Quirky. Clean tidy. And you are made to feel very welcome. We will come back.
