Incredible experience. So touched by the hospitality of our lovely host Fran had given! Breakfast and Dinner options are available. Irish Breakfast was nice and she made sure to fully fill our stomach. She is an amazing guide, she recommended us nearby attractions and also guided us about the route. The living toom is very cozy, and we spent time chilling there. There are sitting arrangements outside, we enjoyed watching sunset from there. View offers Ring of Kerry, part of Beara way and of course the beautiful susnset. Dursey Island boat trip or Cable car point is 40 mins drive, and the coastal driveway is mesmerising. Healy pass, Glengarriff are 30-40 mins drive. I would highly recommend this place to stay, because it is very easy to commute to all the nearby attractions and also a big shoutout for the host Fran. We will definitely visit again.

There is so much to do in this area.
There is so much to do in this area. Beautiful gardens you could spend half a day if not a full day. Scenery will exceed all your expectations. I have travelled all over the world and reland still remains the most beautiful country. The food in the pubs we randomly went into was lovely and fairly priced.

Castletownbere is a lovely fishing town in the south west of Ireland. It has a number of great cafes and restaurants. In addition to being a very picturesque place, it is within deriving distance of everywhere on the amazing Bear peninsula, which in my opinion is one of the most beautiful places to see in Ireland.

A fantastic location that is really unspoilt!
A fantastic location that is really unspoilt! Fabulous scenery ,great walks even around the town and the harbour, very good places to eat. I'd even recommend the chippers in the Square and great music in the pubs at night.
It was really easy to get talking to locals and tourists alike. Very relaxed atmosphere and got some shopping in too! I loved the Art Gallery and prices were very good too.
A beautiful B&B located in a quiet yet wonderful location easily accessible by car (not sure about another mode of transport as I used my own car). The place was kept in excellent condition and the room had all the necessary amenities. The toilet was good and had all the required toiletries and fresh towels. The view from our room was lovely, especially in the morning. The breakfast served was good too. It is close to a lot of beautiful scenic gems along the west of cork. Ideal location if you are planning a ring of Beara trip.
The room was spacious and I had views on the harbour. There was a cettle with coffee and tea. The place is a short walk from everything, including a spar shop which is open every day and a fish and chip truck. There seems to be just two rooms, so it is not really a B&B or a hotel but breakfast would be provided (I didn't take it). My room was very clean and had all the amenities I needed. The hosts were friendly. If you just want to sleep in a comfortable place somewhere, I can very much recommend it.
Without a doubt, the best B&B in all of Beara. Beautiful room, great location, and the hotel is staffed by angels - Michelle, Lorna and all the staff put in so much effort to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The food is absolutely divine - unparalleled breakfast, and the Tea Room serves the best cake we've ever eaten. If you wish to explore the Beara Peninsula, make the Old Medical Hall your base of operations.
Clean , Cosy , close to Castletownbere- Very nice family holiday home with everything you need , lovely area to walk to town. plenty of shops, restaurants, cafe, etc easy centre for exploring Ring of Beara - the area is stunning beautiful and full of charm . love this place ! The owners are nice and friendly, good communication/ the house is clean and comfortable. thank you . will definitely stay here again in future .
Firstly, the owners were very hospitable.
If you are intending on a stag, or hen do, this is NOT the property for you.
But if you want a quiet stay in somewhere within the town centre, then this is the place to stay.
Easy reach of the town and the Spar shop for groceries etc is only a few yards away.
This property was a very pleasant and I would thoroughly recommend it as a place to stay, whilst in Castletownbere
Breakfast was fabulous. Really nicely presented fry, cooked to perfection. Plenty of everything - including extra toast. The location is ideal for Castletownbere, for the Dursey Cable car, kayaking and touring West Cork.
Anything you need - just ask. Mary is really hospitable and made us all feel at home. Gave great recommendations on where to visit and places to enjoy an evening meal.
Everything was lovely. Denis the host is gracious & helpful — as needed. The location is terrific for getting out & about in the town of Castletownbere, with a wonderful view across the bay to Bere Island. The breakfast each morning is sumptuous, cold cuts, fruit salad, freshly baked bread, eggs & sausage on weekends. There's even a small library of books about the West Cork region.
We picked Castletownbere as our West Cork base due to the photos (and the good price!) that we saw of the Harbour B&B. Absolutely beautiful place, outrageously comfortable beds, and Caroline is an excellent host. You're literally in the centre the town, which has to be one of Ireland's nicest. Can't wait to go back, although we'll do well to get that weather again!
Location was excellent with a view overlooking Castletownbere. Host Robert was very helpful and informative anytime I needed to contact him. Got to see the best of the coastline from Castletownbere to Kenmare and a day trip to Glengarriff too. And to top it off, a day on Bere Island with Spring sunshine all day. Hope to make it back someday.
Lovely old building with great history and charm. Large room on top floor overlooking the street, nice and quiet, very comfortable clean bed, with a fabulous shower in a big bathroom. The breakfast was delicious, fabulous tasty coffee and the staff where very helpful and friendly.
Definitely recommend this property in Castletownbere.
Nice little place right at the waterfront in Castletownbere. Well located and there are plenty of parking bays close by.
Room was cozy with good heating and decent size bed. Quite a few pubs nearby for a Guinness!
Communication from the manager was really good and made everything easy.
The property is beautifully situated outside of Castletownbere. It has a small private cove suitable for walking. Visited over Easter and there were
no on-site shop or restaurant facilities.
The cottage was not very clean with some built up staining on doors and windows had some
mould.
Lovely b&b located centrally in Castletownbere. Owners communicated exceptionally well through app & assisted with every need. Spent 2 night prior to the start of my hike & the first night I had gotten in quite late & they had left homemade chocolate chip cookies & makings for tea :)
The landlady, Mary, was so helpful. Gave me lots of information and history about the area. Drove me into a local restaurant in Castletownbere on the first night. She left a continental breakfast available for me due to my departure being outside of her scheduled serving times.
Island View House is within walking distance to local amenities. Clean and spacious accommodation with a shared lounge area - the best was relaxing in front of the fireplace! Will definitely visit again if we come through Castletownbere.
We had breakfast at Lynch's On The Pier in Castletownbere.
Great experience. Service and food were great.
We checked in and out with Shiela, and she was friendly, courteous, and extremely helpful.
,
It's very comfortable good location in castletownbere owner very easy to get on with price not bad considering the price of some of the b/b in castletownbere stayed there two times already.
Early check-in was no problem and room had fantastic view. Located on Wild Atlantic Way, just minutes walk to center of Castletownbere. We will be back!
