The staff were very friendly, the room was warm, comfy bed and the shower was roomy, easy to use and had hot water which is not that easy to find from my experience of hotels. The breakfast was good, nice coffee, pastries and a good selection of breakfasts that are cooked to order.

The Glenside is located in beautiful countryside just 2 km from Drogheda and 5km from the beach at Bettystown. There is a bar, a la carte restaurant and free parking.

Breakfast was fab. Thought the hotel was going to be a little bit more modern for the price we paid though but was still nice. Bar staff seemed reluctant to want an order placed for cocktails as he’d cleaned up. It wasn’t that near closing time but he commented on the fact twice and it’s not like they were cheap either!. There was only one other person in the bar so not like it was busy! Lady on reception was super helpful and food was fab. We would stay again but I think I’ll bring my own drinks 😂
