Amazing location with panoramic views over the sea. One wakes up and falls asleep to the sound of the waves.
The apartment is very spacious, the bedroom is a decent size too and the beds very comfortable. Parking on site.
The terrace is no longer shared with the neighbours, a wooden wall has been built to divide the terrace so each apartment has their own private part.

It was the best place we stayed in Iceland so far. The whole apartment was super cozy and warm. Sleeping with the sound of the sea is amazing. While we were there there was a blizzard and we were actually happy because by being stuck we could enjoy the place more. Super recommended

We received a code and could get into the room any time. Kitchen was well equipped. Room was big and quiet. We were lucky to see the aurora in this city, but we needed to drive shortly outside of the city.

Place and people are nice, the right position to visit Snaefellsjokull National Park and the west of the peninsula. There are no easily accessible restaurants and shops, you have to provide all your supplies. In the hostel, you have a nice functional kitchen, refrigerator, and a small bar to buy drinking and snacks: light beverages, juices, potato chips, and smarties. To find milk, bread, and food, you have to wait for the day after, at the nearest shop with a minimum 15 km run. Small, quiet town along the water near the tip of the Snaefellsnes Peninsula. It is quite beautiful in the area with sites nearby. We were trying to find a hotel close to the Snaefellsjokull...
We were trying to find a hotel close to the Snaefellsjokull Nat'l Park. Now that we have been there, we would opt for staying on Olafsvik (with 2 restaurants for dinner) or go to other side of park at Hellnar or Arnarstapi. Hellissandur didn't have much going on, except Gilbakki Kaffihus is very nice for mid-morning snack, lunch or afternoon break. Very nice people.

Here I was able to get a glimpse of what genuine Iceland is like in remote fishing villages. There was several cinema nights in the theatre where all the locals would come to watch films developed by local film makers. First night was about the local football team and the second a fishing film about a man and his boat. Both films highlighted the importance of having a connection with your community and it was a great experience to watch these local films.

Generous and homey spacing and a beautiful flow, you enter from the street to the dining room then to the bedroom and then out on the terrace overviewing the ocean. The monocular on the terrace was a welcomed add on from the hosts, they knew seals are just in front at low tide... Staff were super helpful, and gave a nice tour of the hostel. Had an awesome room for bands, cool room with a ping pong table and nice large gathering room with a small bar (and a chess board). About a 10 min drive to see Saxholl Carer, and 20 min to Hellnar view point, Stone bridge and Londrangar View point. Great location.
