Absolutely beautiful location, very nice room and bathroom and a view of the lake, probably lovely and peaceful during the week but not on weekends.

The room assigned was really far from pictures.
Below car parking, it has no windows at all.
Unpleasant and unacceptable from a self-defined Luxury hotel.

Lovely and quiet atmosphere, amazing views (especially in the morning during breakfast), we loved that we had two rooms joined together so it was perfect for us.
Easy to park our car and the breakfast itself was superb
would definately recommend to anyone who is looking for a relaxing stay near Rome

Convenient stay on a very cosy and quiet street. A number places to eat and drink coffee just around the corner. There were all needed facilities, including iron and kettle. Very clean also. Fresh bottles of water were given every day — nice!

Nice place to stay out of Rome, but not too far (about 40 min by car to the centre). Close to nature, Albano lake is within the half an hour walk down the hill. There is access to the beach with a restaurant and a bar (and a parking lot) where you can rent a chair. Parking can be little tricky in this town with narrow streets. Some wide cars might not fit the most narrow streets which are also one-way.
Ciampino airport is 25 min away by car. Also reachable by train

Castel Gandolfo is a beautiful town.
Castel Gandolfo is a beautiful town. The Pope's palace isn't much to see inside but it has miles of gorgeous gardens and views. The pine trees are some of the healthiest I have seen in Italy. The food is amazing. We frequented La Papessa and Pagnanelli - we'd go back just to eat some more.

A lovely, classic Italian Hotel in an ideal location with fabulous views and lovely interiors. The main terrace has wonderful views over lake Albano and is a lovely place to relax. The Hotel has two small pools, one in the same space as the breakfast area! and the other on the roof terrace.

It's a very small place and the area is very hilly. Not recommended if you want to spend a lot of time wandering around the area. However, we found it very clean and peaceful.
Restaurants are very good and a wide choice of food is available considering it is so small.

It is a small town but we’ve done all the biggies and wanted a smaller town. Lots of restaurants for a small town but that’s probably because of the day trippers from Rome. Also Romans go there on weekends to escape the crowds of the city, especially this year because there are so many more tourists according to the locals and the food is really good. Some restaurants you might want to consider, Sor Capanna, great pizza, and pasta with boar sauce. Cumin Arte, they offer other things but this is definitely seafood oriented, great mussels and seafood options. Hosteria Fraschetta, we ate there a couple of times, the food is that good, a little bright inside but everyone was enjoying themselves one cool, rainy night. All of the above also have outdoor seating.

Location is brilliant, with clean and spacious apartment.
Location is brilliant, with clean and spacious apartment. Breakfast is not good. A lot of food is brought to the table however it’s cheap produce, eggs are scrambled, juice is orange squash with water and sausage is what I feed to my dog. Less is more change eggs to boiled, orange juice make sure it’s freshly squeezed, fresh tomatoes would be good plus milk, water, yoghurt and some chia seeds to start the day which would make the hotel stand out when compared to many others in Italy that seem to be all forgetting the importance of a healthy breakfast to start the day and best way to compliment the stay at the hotel which is equally important to having clean sheets and a comfortable bed to sleep on.

The thing we liked most about this stay was the warm welcome and the extraordinarily high of customer service. We had read some of the other reviews full of praise for the staff but you tend to take them with a pinch of salt. Our bad because the team at Hotel Castelgondolfo lived up to all the praise of others. They simply could not have been more helpful There are other good things like the location, lake views from the balconies and the great food and wine in the restaurant.
We stayed in the two bedroom apartment, which had a wonderful view of the lake. The apartment was a short walk to the main streets of Castel Gandolfo (it’s separate from the main Atlantis Inn building). The bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious and updated wonderfully. The apartment was cleaned daily by staff. Internet is great. We did not have to use AC/heat. Good sound insulation when windows are closed.
The apartment was large and comfortable with two double, two single beds and two bathrooms. Nicely decorated and fully equipped. Calm neighbourhood with some parking spots always available. Some shops like coffee shop, bakery, mini market at walking distance. The host was a relatively good English speaker, which is rare in Italy (as we came to find out). Wi-Fi speed was satisfactory.
Charming small hotel with friendly and helpful staff. It is right on the edge of the lake with access for those who want to cool down in the water. An expansive outdoor dining area with opening roof and sliding windows that allow protection from the sun and weather but the feeling of being outside. A beautiful place to relax and enjoy the water views. Excellent food.
Lovely place with picturesque views of Lake Albano. Good facilities and close to shops and the main square. Great apartment for 2 or 3 adults with a sofa available. The owners were very helpful and assisted with directions and advice. Train which goes to Rome Termini every hour is just a short walk and preferable to driving into the eternal city.
The check-in went very smoothly. The hostess is very friendly and explained a lot to us about the place and the area. The proximity to the lake and Rome is ideal. Every day we got a very tasty croissant and coffee at the nearby café for breakfast. The apartment is very spacious with a nice kitchen. We really enjoyed our stay.
The view and location of the hotel was absolutely excellent. We were tucked up away and felt very much in our own little world. The restaurant was of one the more imaginitive and delicious meals we had on our trip. Would very much like to stay here again if we are ever back in Castel Gandolfo.
Lovely hotel with much potential but.. what's the point to have a lovely terrace and can't get served? pool no towels.. no view ;( Seems only caters for weddings or events.. or is just my bad luck..
Parking available is a great bonus. Not far from main town center so its nice to walk
Cosy little apartment in the heart of Castel Gandolfo with a magnificent balcony view of the lake. The apartment is small but fully functional with all the amentities needed for a few days in the area. There is also parking a few hundred meters away from the place
The apartment was beautifully located above the lake with a wonderful view. Ivan took care of us with fresh coffee specialties for breakfast and great information on our day trip to Rome. The kids loved the garden.
Perfect Bnb in the heart of Castel Gandolfo. The apartment was cute, comfortable and clean. Has everything you need for your stay, I would recommend! Paid street parking is available close by.

My daughter loved the bunk bed
Very spacious living space and bedrooms
Very secure
Good location for eating/drinking out and perfect for the train to Rome
