Fano is a really lovely place.
Fano is a really lovely place. It offers art in the form of a museum and Foundation which runs exhibitions. The town itself was originally founded by the Romans and this is evidenced by the Arch of Augustus and other points of architectural and archaeological interest. It is on the sea and there are lovely walks to be had on the seafront and in the old town. It offers amazing food in the restaurants and bars and of course excellent local delicacies and wines.

A nice medieval town with surprisingly a lot of history a typical walled center and cobblestone streets. Some good restaurant around and a very laid-back population.
Osteria della Peppa is a fantastic place to try some local food.
The beaches are not great in the area though, for nicer beaches I would go south of Ancona and beyond.

Nice and calm town, but gets busy over weekend.
Charming narrow streets between buildings. Lovely canal getting inside the town.
Beautiful main square and suroundings worth seeing too.
Fano is also a good base to trip around the area. It is located relatively close to San Marino (65 km), Rimini (55 km), Ancona (60 km), Urbino (45 km) and some other places.
Fantastic spot.

A perfect combination of a busy italian town (not major city) and a beach community. Fano is wonderful for food, wine, shopping, sandy and pebble beaches, towns and mountains to explore close by, a place to relax and soak in culture of a beautiful corner of the world.

I love Fano and have been going there for 20 years.
I love Fano and have been going there for 20 years. Fano is a medium-size city with fishing as one of its principal activities, so the atmosphere is unpretentious and very relaxed. In town and on the outskirts there is Roman and medieval architecture and close by are historical sites such as Gradara. It’s a short drive from Urbino, a beautiful medieval, hilltop city.
My favorite thing about Fano is the lido, port and beachwalk. There are numerous caffès, bars and restaurants, and the feeling on the beach is one of blissful relaxation. Five stars for Fano!
Hotel Corallo turned out to be a very good choice: clean, close to the water and a short walk from the train station and the center of town. Staff members, both at the reception and in the breakfast room, were polite and helpful.
There are cafés and restaurants nearby. At the Giardino dei Sapori (5 minutes away on foot) I had the best meal in Fano. For those who enjoy sightseeing, the town of Urbino should not be missed. The medieval town of Jesi, still surrounded by walls, was a pleasant surprise.
The apartment is perfectly located to explore the city center of Fano or the beach. Domenico has provided a very warm welcome and since I arrived on a Sunday afternoon with closed grocery shops, I really appreciated that there were coffee and snacks available for breakfast and a nice bottle of chilled white wine! The apartment was cozy but had everything you need for a very comfortable stay. I will definitely take it in consideration for a future vacation.
My family and I really enjoyed our stay at Le Nasse! ( and why wouldn't we? ) it is 50m from the beach and comes with
a garden, a bbq, a fully equipped kitchen and several bicycles: to reach the center of Fano via a 15min ride on a bikelane.
We also used the bicycles to go north and south via the bike lane and reach less crowded beaches. Having the house right on the "ciclovia adriatica" was a huge plus
The host is also sympathetic and reachable.
The host, Pino was amazing! So kind & attentive. He could not do enough for us or his other guests, who we met from Germany. The breakfasts were the BEST we have ever had in our travels. Breakfast in his back patio was so nice & relaxing. He wants you to have the best stay in his town of Fano. Walking distance to the beach & old town. We would love to stay here again & feel we said good-bye to a friend & we were only there for 2 nights.
The place is just excellent ! The best for having a stay in Fano. The surrounding is quiet, green, and lovely to go for a walk. I simply loved it.
The place is big, confortable beautifuly decorated, you have all you need, as well the coffee and sweets in the morning..
Then what to say about the host,...he is very professional, clear, friendly and all time helpful . I really recommend this place. I certainly will come back.
A very dog friendly hotel, great grounds to be able to walk the dog. The staff were very thoughtful to our needs when travelling with a pet. Dinner was great with some awesome recommendations for local produce and wines. Breakfast was a really good spread. The two guys from dinner and the breakfast were great, very professional but also the right side of friendly. Will definitely stay again.
Giuseppe was most welcoming. The villa was very clean and the bed was particularly comfortable. Our room was quiet despite facing onto the street and the air-conditioning was very welcome. The wi-fi was excellent, the breakfast was delicious (Giuseppe makes wonderful apricot jam), and the location was ideal. Will definitely stay again when we're back in Fano.
We stayed in Julia's apartment rather than the room we had originally booked. The place was really clean and functional. We loved the way it was furnished, with exposed brick from the Roman walls!! The position was super central as well, so a perfect spot to enjoy Fano. Julia was also very friendly and accommodating, ready to answer any question we had.
First reaction was 'Great - parking immediately in front of the hotel!' Then, the experience was systematically enhanced by the staff friendliness and helpfulness, the room and facilities, the city of Fano and the restaurant chosen for us by the hotel.
Breakfast and coffee were delicious.
We had a fantastic time and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Perfect location, in the heart of Fano. Walking distance to all restaurants and sights, 15 min walk to the beach, free parking closeby. Loved to wake up to the morning bustle of the cafes in the piazza. Plenty of space in the apartment, with 4 extra beds (fitting some 6 people in total). Very friendly owners.
Beautiful apartment close to the sea and just a stroll walk into the old town of Fano with great outdoor spaces and sea and mountain views.
Brush clean and newly renovated indoor space and atmosphere too with everything you need and more.
We will definitely return!
Brilliant location- close enough to the beach to walk yet enough away to not suffer the night partying. A short walk to the lovely historic and commercial center. The mainly seafood restaurant at the hotel, Casa Orazi, is superb! Breakfast was very fine too.
The hotel was very comfortable and they have their own restaurant. Also bicycles are available for the guests to explore the beautiful historical city center, I do recommend doing that.
The sand beach is in front of the hotel and you can enjoy it easily.
The apartment was well fitted out and over 2 floors. The kitchen was really clean and the living room comfortable. Although we were on holiday, it is nice to be able to watch Netflix especially when the weather outside isn't good.
It is a very clean Hotel. The comfort in the room is fantastic. I find the Director extremely gentle and professional.
I really like to prize a structure with such a good level of service.
Beautiful hotel, big comfortable bed, good shower, parking on site, good breakfast, excellent restaurant around corner downstairs. Staff exceptionally friendly and helpful.
