Wonderful small town, ancient buildings, beautiful clear sea. On weekdays there are few tourists; on weekends more people come to the beach. A stunning place for photographers and artists, beautiful views of the sea, cliffs, sunset and 14th-19th century architecture.
There are many different restaurants with local cuisine, seafood, and bars with sea views.

The centro storico is a must see in this town, it's just gorgeous! Be sure to visit in the evening as well, as it's even more beautiful lit up at night. There aren't really any beaches within walking distance, at least not sandy ones, but the lungomare (seaside walkway) is fabulous and affords some great views in both directions. The Neapolitan style pizza at Pizzeria Pitta La Pizza Col Sorriso is not to be missed, and we very much enjoyed two dinners at La Creperia Cinereo Lembo Cafè in the centro storico, at surprisingly affordable prices. Just a word of caution, the pizza place opens at 8:00 pm, not 7:00, and the Creperia at 7:30. Both opening times shown on Google are incorrect. The entire town is very walkable, and I recommend B&B Sant'Agostino for its central location (5 minute walk to train station, easy stroll to the main park, piazza, seaside and centro storico).

The old part of Giovinazzo was fantastic, the criss-cross streets and alleys were easy to get lost in however this was a good thing as we found lots of places we would have missed, especially restaurants. We ate in a different place each day, and wasn't disappointed by any of them. The beaches were all rocks or pebbles, with oil on some pebbles, apparently from shipping? The oil got on our towels, it's not easy to spot as it's on individual pebbles. We had to drive 30 minutes to nearest sandy beach. Overall we had a great time, attributed to the hotel we stayed in. A converted convent. Superb 👌

Nice little town, everything reachable by foot also for the children. Exiting castle to explore including several galleries, bars and restaurants. Many swimming opportunities along the coast line. Most of them rocky with cliffs, not very suitable for small children but there was one sandy beach at the harbor in the heart of the village.

Giovinazzo is only a small town which on the day we arrived (Saturday) was quiet and easy to get around, plenty of cafes around the main square. Easy access to the sea front and a pleasant walk along the promenade.
Good restaurant by the hotel.
Our stay was too short as we had only booked one night as we were due to return home the following day

Really lovely converted convent in the old town just off the lungomare. Comfortable room, great breakfast, and enjoyed the restaurant as well. Definitely recommend. We were there just after Christmas and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
I had a great stay at Villa al Mare.
Raffaella, the owner, is really very friendly and helpful. I immediately felt like I was in good hands.
The room is lovely furnished and very clean, there's really nothing to complain about!
Even in the small shady garden you can always find little details that make the place special.
The breakfast was delicious and fresh every morning.
I felt very comfortable here and Giovinazzo itself is also worth a trip!
Thanks, Raffaella for the great time in your b+b. Greetings from germany. Katrin
This charming room in a 14th century palazzo was atmospheric and well-equipped, with a fridge, a coffee machine, a kettle and a small hob. It was super clean and the bed was comfy; the shower was (mostly) hot. The location was absolutely perfect, just a short walk from the sea, from restaurants and bars. Giovinazzo is a lovely, friendly town, and Victoria was a wonderful host, generous with her time and her knowledge of Giovinazzo. We also appreciated the drive to the airport at a lower-than-taxi price. Totally recommended!
Beautiful property with a perfect location! right in the old part of Giovinazzo, two steps away from the little beach. The apartment is in a lovely little street. the inside of the place is spacious with a very nice bathroom. The property has beautiful white stairs typical from the Apulian region. The owners surprised me with a few little things such as a wine bottle and some snacks waiting for me in the room. It was a sweet thought, very appreciated especially after a long travel!
A very cosy, clean room with all the amenities you need for some days in beautiful Giovinazzo!!! Very calm and peaceful in the picturesque old town! Walking distance from everything!!! And of course big plus the Nespresso for a nice coffee anytime you wish!!! For those that like tv you can also watch films and series on Netflix! Very easy self check in and check out!!! Ms Maria is very kind and gives you so much info on how to get to the place and all you need in Giovinazzo!!!
The location in the historic center was beautiful, atmospheric and quiet. Good restaurants nearby. We appreciated how artfully the apartment was decorated. Every corner had a painting, ceramic or small treasure on display, giving the entire apt. a homey feel. Big fluffy bath towels! Maria answered our questions promptly every time and was very helpful. The transport she arranged for us from Bari airport to the Giovanazzo apt went smoothly.
There is wifi and internet
The host is very nice and do his best to explain everything.
The small apartment is very nice and really well organized.
It is surprising how close to the beach ⛱️ you are!
Giovinazzo might not look like the city u want to visit when you first enter it but after getting to the beach and walking on its shore you directly change your mind. It's an awesome undiscovered by tourists place!
The property was great! Although we stayed in March and couldn’t utilize the beach or pool the property was beautiful and very well kept. Clean and spacious. Free parking which was very convenient for us since we rented a car. Friendly and accommodating staff! We chose a room with a balcony and beach view which was spacious compared to other hotels on our trip. We would highly recommend this hotel.
Absolutely perfect stay. The place is located in a small quiet courtyard in the heart of the Old Town.
Appartment is new, super clean and equipped in everything you may need: washing machine, electric stove, hair dryer, coffee machine, cutlery etc. Bed is big and comfortable.
The owner was very responsive and helpful.
Would definitely stay again returning to Giovinazzo, next time for more days!
We liked the historical style, architecture of the hotel, the atmosphere, the location in the historical centre. We liked the spacious suite with the terrace, the breakfast with excellent home made, freshly cooked, local food, extremely friendly staff at reception, breakfast, cleaning. The roof top terrace is excellent with beautiful view of the sea and the city.
Many thanks for great vacation and support. Everything was perfect from your side. Porto di Mare has very good location in Govinazzio, it´s just 1minute to the centre of town (there is BUS station to BARI or Trani) and 2min to sea. For traveling you can use speed train or bus. BARI is only 15-20min from here. We can 100% recommned. Regards from Czech R.
I have stayed at S. Martin in the past and will continue to stay there when I am in Giovinazzo. It is in an ideal location in the historic area by the water, the staff is wonderful and very friendly, the breakfast is delicious, and there are fabulous restaurants nearby.
We very much enjoyed our stay at Arco Bianco. The apartment and location are excellent. The terrace is really special. The kitchen worked just fine for what we needed. And, Giovinazzo is a wonderful and beautiful place.
The hosts were extremely welcoming and helpful with directions and local suggestions. Very close to the Bari airport which was convenient for us as we had an early morning flight.
The owner helped us for parking everyday, we enjoyed the breakfast, big rooms, The staff cleaned the room everyday, the hotel is easy to find, really reasonable price
Rina and Nico were very kind and welcoming. The house is in a very quiet area about 5 kms from the lovely little fishing town of Giovinazzo and was very comfortable.
