Learn the bus system, its easy and cheap to get around the island. Take a boat tour around the island and definitely visit the castle. Buy your souvenirs in the grocery store not the expensive gift shops.

Brilliant.
Brilliant. Definitely coming back I don't drive and was there solo and had a ball. Maybe not quite as walker friendly as i expected - easy to get buses around, but a few times i found google maps lied a bit about walkable paths...
It was early May and everything was pretty empty. I liked that, but I suppose some of the larger restaurants and resorts i was recommended had a bit of a ghost town vibe.
Could have spent every day at Posiedon spa and been very happy. Make sure you visit.

Ischia is lovely and scenic with an ancient history.
Ischia is lovely and scenic with an ancient history. Thermal springs abound all over the island and several spas abound to fir all budgets and needs. The local cuisine is seafood, mostly,
the freshest and most varied I’ve ever run across though their best known specialty is a delicious rabbit dish.
There are several picturesque historical sights and local vineyards to sample their lovely local wines. This is the second vacation we’ve taken there and look forward to our next!
I would recommend the town of Forio, it being 25 minutes by car from the ferry port and central to other sights.

I spent 6 days on Ischia and explored 80% of island.
I spent 6 days on Ischia and explored 80% of island.
I would recommend Forio region for an accommodation. There are more attractions and more active night live.
Sorgeto Thermal with amazing view and bars (only two, but staff is nice).
The beaches are beautiful everywhere but Maronti Beach. Maronti beach was the the dirtiest one I've visited there.
I love italian cuisine, so any restaurant is TOP. There are also markets where you can buy snack, and I found one big supermarket.
Ischia is perfect for half-day hiking to Monte Epomeo, where is restaurant with home-grow and home-made food. You just don't have a choice, there is one delicious food to order.
Regarding public transport. At the beginning it seems as a chaos, but the public transport is really well organised. Roads are narrow and curved, but drivers are skilled.
I recommend to rent a scooter.
People are nice and kind!
Loved the pool and spa area! My room was quiet and comfortable, with a comfortable bed, selection of pillows and pleasant air conditioning. There is a small refrigerator/ mini bar that is restocked with bottled water daily, for a charge. Appreciated the free shuttle service to the hotel’s private little beach club and also has a snack bar. Had a fantastic lunch at the pool with a delicious scialatielli pasta with mussels. Location is good, within a reasonable walking distance of Ischia Porto center and the beaches.
Breakfasts were wonderful. Bruschetta, cheese, salami, egg, toast, pastries, yogurt, fresh juice, coffee. Views and the sunsets are amazing. The manager Constantino was super helpful in pointing us to the fun tourist spots and good restaurants. He always had a smile on his face. Our suite was huge (100sqm). the bed was comfy, a/c worked well. I think it really offered great value compared to a hotel. Location is best suited to renting a car, but I really enjoyed driving around the narrow roads of Ischia.
Boutique style hotel, ideal location, great staff. All public areas including the seafront restaurant, bar, pool, private beach were excellent. Overlooking the Aragon castle of Ischia and 2 minute walk to the restaurants and shops in Ischia Ponte. It is a 10 minute walk the other way to the start of the shops and restaurants in Ischia town center and about 20 – 25 minutes to the main Port and surrounding restaurants. The bus #7 passes the hotel every 10 -15 minutes and travels to the port.
Ischia itself was very crowded so it was a pleasure to get a little away from all of the people and be able to relax. The staff were exceptional. Pool was great (except pool closes very early), and it was right on the bus line. Super easy to get around the island. Bus tickets can be purchased at the hotel. It was not ultra fancy, but it was very clean, AC worked well, next to a nice little fruit stand, gorgeous view, excellent breakfast, and we really enjoyed our stay!
Good Location. Beautiful Scenery from the yard outside the room. Room is very clean with good facilities. The most important is: Mauro is a really nice and friendly host. He helps plan our journey in the beautiful island, give my girlfriend the medicine she needs when her stomach doesn't feel good, drive us to the port and even give us a gift when we left. He is kind host and friend. If we come back to Ischia later, we will definitely choose this hotel again.
This cozy Bnb it’s perfect for a relaxing stay on the island of Ischia. Nice room with spacious bathrooms.
The bnb is situated in quiet area few minutes away from Forio, near the city center and some of the most beautiful beaches of the island.
What makes the difference is the wonderful hospitality of the host Giovanna.
Breakfast is a must with authentic Cornetto ischitano and others sweets. Obviously a nice Italian coffee is there to start the day.
Spacious, cosy apartment at 1st floor. Close to the port: 12 minutes to ferry stop, on foot; at a walking distance of the picturesque Ischia Ponte and Castle Aragonese. The pictures & description on the site are realistic, the house is big, clean and has natural light. Comfy beds and very good shower/bathroom. Well-equipped kitchen. Happy to have found this accommodation, clearly a come-back. Thank you, Iole and Luciano, for your true hospitality!
Beautiful hotel, ideal location, shuttle provided by the hotel to bring guests to the port, thermal spas or anywhere else. Truly amazing hotel, comfortable rooms, delicious food. I would like to thank Uljana from reception and Enzo from the restaurant - amazing hospitality, all our needs were adhered to, super friendly and very helpful and professional. Next time when we travel to Ischia we will stay here. Thank you very much!
Everything was perfect at this hotel. The clean, warm, and comfortable rooms, the amazing spa, and the great food and service.. All the hotel staff were very welcoming, helpful, and friendly. I wanted a few days in a hotel with the spa, and this one definitely had one of the best spas I've stayed in. I was made to feel welcome, safe, and comfortable throughout my stay. This hotel is definitely somewhere I would come to again.
- good value for money - we got a spacious room with a comfy bed, a big bathroom, and a nice balcony for total of 604€ (576€+taxes) for 7 nights, breakfast included.
- location - the facility is in good location, with nice restaurants around and good bus connection to reach any part of the island.
- swimming pool - having the pool in the hotel was nice, though we did not use it much.
- kindness of the staff.
The hotel has very beautiful, spacious and green territory! Lots of pools, which are open till 20:00, great gym. We had free upgrade for our room for some reason, not sure why, but thank you! Nice breakfast and generous time slot for having it:) Clean room, comfortable bed, polite and professional staff. Located in Lacco Ameno, which is a good place to stop on Ischia, very peaceful.
Wonderful hidden gem in the mountains. It has a stunning panoramic view, and a lot of space with really nice amenities. Gio is a wonderful host, super kind and helpful. Fantastic restaurant within walking distance. Wish we could have stayed longer. Great bus system not to far from Villa Stefania. The Ischianos are friendly, fun people. Enjoy!
the grounds were very nice. large room. the hotel is located on the beach so you do not have to rent chairs or a parasol at a beach club. the hotel also has multiple pools. the breakfast was good. a small market, the town of Forio, and restaurants are all nearby. easy public transportation to sant’ Angelo and ischia Porto and Ponte.
Our stay was truly enchanting, thanks to our remarkable host Mayra. Her kindness and unparalleled assistance made her the best host we've encountered in Italy. The villa itself was nothing short of mesmerizing, with the most breathtaking view in all of Ischia. Would recommend this villa to everyone!
If I could, I would give 11 stars rating. This hotel was absolutely amazing! The best, we have ever been. The staff and the owners were soooo nice and helpful. Rooms were clean and pretty, with gorgeous view on the sea. Luxury garden with swiming pools. Very delicious breakfast.
The hotel has a very nice view to The sea, a spa area(small but I guess is ok for who use spa and also a nice swimming pool outside, we only stayed on the beach but i saw alot of people were on the swimming pool as well). Good stuff, very clean and quite.
Amazing room, perfect location, great views of sea...manager treated us like royalty. Four star hotel stylish and luxury chic vibe...Ischia can't be done any better than this place....don't miss it...wish we could've stayed a month!
Beautiful well appointed little hotel. Great views from the rooms and spacious patios. Pool with a view. Staff are so lovely! Feliciana, Piera and Gearia were friendly and made our stay happy. 5 star staff.
The place was very charming with amazing views of the island, clean, quiet and spacious room. Nice breakfast, very good service, the owner of the hotel was very friendly. I totally recommend it.
We could see the sea from our room window which was nice. Room was spacious. Garden surrounding hotel was very nice. Self check in was easy due to no reception staff
