We arrived out of the main tourist season, the town was quiet, however food & drink was plentiful. We visited the Castle & Cathedral late on in the day, but we enjoyed the experience, especially the climb up the Bell Tower, 258 steps, however worthwhile, the views were outstanding.
Great pizza at Art'e L'Arcimboldo Pizza Cafe!!

Diverting to Puglia was a last-minute decision for us, and we were not disappointed. Trani is a small but bustling city with good train access, a few sites of historical interest, and a fabulous harbor to the Adriatic Sea. Because it was not high season, when the tour busses left their day-stops, we felt like two of only a few tourists left in town.
Trani is the place to go if you are a seafood lover. At dusk, the fishing boats pull into the harbor, back up to the dock, and offer up their daily catch. Locals browse from boat to boat, loading up on whatever looks best, and restaurant patrons feast on the freshest of fresh fish and shellfish that evening. We had an incredible meal at Osteria ai Platani (highly recommend).
Had we planned this stop, we'd have stayed at least one more night for the food, wine, and ambiance alone.

We didn't really explore Trani except to walk to the port for a drink after we had arrived. We had a lot of trouble finding the hotel when we first arrived as the name on our booking was different to the name on the hotel, which caused some confusion and delays in checking in. The port area was pleasant to visit but the hotel was situated near the train station and we had to walk through small, narrow roads to reach the port.

We travelled around a few places in Puglia and Trani was surprisingly our favourite town to visit. It was peaceful, no tourists about and felt so authentically Italian whilst also having a great vibe in the evening and plenty of restaurants and bars to enjoy the beautiful views.

Nice town with a busy port area.
Nice town with a busy port area. Not THAT much to see or do in the actual town, but very well connected by train to go further a field.
Lots of great restaurants from cafes to Michelin star. Most nearly all super quality fish based. Barring a steak and the occasional burger, you'll struggle to get meat, if fish is not your thing.
Beaches are a bit out of town and mainly on rocks or stones. 'Beach clubs are quite expensive, given the quality and lack of swim facilities (€35 - €50 per day for two)
Not that much English spoken: An observation rather than a criticism (A pet hate of mine, when people complain about that. Learn the language or at least be able to pass yourself).
Perfect location with such clean and comfortable accommodation. The marina is just beautiful and so lovely to walk around. There is double glazing on the windows and doors so you don't hear anything from outside. Water pressure is incredible (something we have noticed whilst travelling around Italy).
Georgia and Francesca are so great!
The road is not accessible for cars after 18h00, so keep this in mind if you are checking in late with luggage.
Should we ever come bk to Trani, we will definitely be staying here. Fab spot!
The apartment is beautiful decorated and maintained, it has everything you would need for a stay of any duration in Trani. There is a real luxury feel to the apartment and it is finished to a very high spec, making it extremely comfortable.
The hosts are exceptionally helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The location is excellent with great views of the harbour and everything is within easy walking distance.
Staying here was a highlight of my trip to Puglia and one of the nicest places I have ever stayed.
The location is perfect - in the center of the old town :)
We liked the breakfast very much, it was a 5 min away from the property, always fresh cornetti and nice coffee :)
They clean the room every single day, they change towels every second day, they also changed bed linen once during our 7 nights stay.
Claudio is very friendly and nice host.
Train station is 10 min walking.
Trani has so many nice restaurants, caffes, good shopping, it is really very charming and romantic town :)
It’s totally cute, clean and everything what is needed is in place.
Self-Check-in and communication to the host worked easily and uncomplicated.
The apartment is perfectly located
in the old town and Trani itself is just an adorable city.
Also other great places like Castel del Monte etc can be reached very quickly.
Parking is also not a big deal.
There’s a gravel parking lot right beside the Swabian Castle which you apparently can use for free.
Nice place to stay!
absolutely stunning accommodations. Huge suite with an absolutely gorgeous bathroom- massive shower and double sinks. Lovely view of the harbor. Spa was so luxurious. The restaurant was absolutely incredible. food was out of this world! However we were most impressed with the attentive and kind staff. This hotel felt more like you were being welcomed into someone’s home than a hotel. They go out of their way to make sure you have exactly what you need.
Laura and her husband made my stay in Trani very comfortable and easy. I have been travelling for over a week through Italy and the bed and pillows were super comfortable. They were kind to offer taxi transportation and answered any questions I had promptly.
The room is wonderful and beautifully decorated. I highly recommend this accommodation to anyone that might be thinking to visit Trani :)
The Palazzo Bianchi was great. Clean, convenient, friendly, and quiet. Pretty much everything in Trani was reachable on foot. We had a suite -- a large salon, a very large bathroom, and a cozy bedroom. The salon opened on the rear garden and was reached via a half flight of steps coming up from the inner courtyard.
The room was beautiful and very spacious. The location was perfect and super close to everything. The staff were amazing. Specially a girl named Francesca who managed my stay. She spoke very good English and was very knowledgeable. She was beyond helpful. I loved my time in Trani and would love to go back soon.
The owner and his family are very nice and accommodating. They helped with our luggage and parking. Breakfast was delicious. Our room was big with a balcony and a small kitchenette, and a comfortable bed. Good location. If you in Trani a nice place to stay.
Amazing location, just steps from the castle, the cathedral and the port. Clean and spacious rooms, a nice assortment for breakfast. The hosts welcomed us warmly and explained how everything worked. The price per value can't be beat, perfect for a family.
Very nice and special small hotel. Michaela and the staff were perfect, the location is the best you can ask.
The entire building and rooms are with special and very nice decoration.
Don't hesitate selecting it, we strongly recommend
The accommodation was clean and spacious. The host allowed us to check in early which was helpful. It’s location close to the train station was very convenient and it was only a short walk to the old tow and harbour. Trani was great.
The room was lovely, with a sweet little balcony. Spotlessly clean and quiet. The location is perfect for walking around Trani. Lighting in the room is thoughtful, as is the decor.
the hotel is housed in an historic and beautiful building. the decor is spare and in good taste. the breakfast that is included in the price of the room was a spectacular buffet
Great location in Central Trani. Possible having a easy safe parking 600 m away.
Hotel is really nice and have a nice roof terasse where you can have a breake during the day.
Location was excellent. A few minutes walking to restaurants. Free private parking on site which is always a luxury. Easy to find with many signs directing us to the hotel
Excellent unit in a great location. We found parking right out the door and the delights of Trani were only a short walk away. Excellent connunication from the owner
