This fantastic place is perfect for a weekend.
This fantastic place is perfect for a weekend. It has its own special charm, but while it is famous for being 'Soviet', I didn't really see it there. Yes, they have a statue to Lenin, but there are some other places in Moldova that have them too :)
The city is walkable, though the local transport is pretty cheap: 3 roubles or 0,18 EUR.
I love their parks, there was sakura blooming in their dendropark and they planted tulips there, so it was wonderful. The city center with fancy buildings and monuments is pretty picturesque. The food is as varied as you can imagine: I personally can recommend Toscana, Back in the USSR and the House of Bakery.

Always a nice place for relaxing, meeting new people, practice languages skills, check out authential restaurants and see new developments in society live even within or without combination of the special historical background of the town (and the region).

Highly recommended.
Highly recommended. If you have only 1 night in Moldova, go and stay in Tiraspol and explore Transnistria, a country that doesn't exist. I was amazed by how clean, big and modern the city is. Everything is available like supermarkets, cafes, cineplex, parks and very affordable.

Communist feeling from city.
Communist feeling from city. Unbelievable and interresting "time-travelling" to back. My country was like that before 1989. One of best experiences ever. I have never had feeling from country like from Transnistria. Absolutely unique ! 1 day for Tiraspol is enough but maybe i will come next time with permit for 48 hours (they are giving 24 or 48 hour permit) and visit some villages :)
If you visit, go eat to Kumanek for unique traditional food experience !

Nice and clean city.
Nice and clean city. We stayed two days, three nights which is exact good time to spend there. Don't forget to see Bendery Fortress and make a photo with the large Lenin statue in front of the parlement building and have lunch at the Soviet cafe in Bender. If you travel with small kids (what we did), I think a rental car is a must to get around. (we rented one in Chisinau for a week)
Very clean and spacious room and ensuite bathroom. View from the balcony was nice. Staff was more than friendly and helpful, perfect in English. They made late check-out and early check in easily possible. The receptionists even support us to get lost documents back. Location in the very city center, all major sights, shopping and restaurants/cafés within a short walking distance. I can definitely recommend Hotel Russia when staying in Tiraspol.
It is the best apartment in Tiraspol you can get. If I ever come back I will for sure stay there again. The bed and the couch are really comfortable. (The couch in the apartment is the bigger one)
It also has everything you need. The balcony has as was mentioned before an amazing view. And everything was absolutely clean (and I have quite high standards there).
So I can only fully recommend this apartment.
What a great place to stay! Right next to the beautiful city park, easy walking distance to the major sites. A very modern hotel with large comfortable rooms. The staff is quite attentive. The Georgian restaurant next to the hotel is great, but there are other places nearby. The one thing to be aware of is that, like other places in Tiraspol, cash only. But it is worth brining the cash.
An exceptional hotel showing the very best that Tiraspol has to offer. Spotless luxurious rooms, amazing staff, perfect location, services, etc.
I especially recommend the pastries at the coffee shop.
The staff also assisted with me getting a taxi to Keshinev for cheap through a local agency.
Everyone from the staff spoke perfect English.
Big apartment..with all you need to stay few days in Tiraspol. Very clean, and near supermarket, trolleybus stop and money exchange office.
Comunication with property was easy, Alexandra is very nice and she helps you if you need.
Recomended place, and recomended city.
Lovely, authentic interior. Comfy beds and basic but well-equiped and clean kitchen and bathroom. Spacious - most hostel wouldve tried to cram in twice as many beds. Location is perfect for exploring Tiraspol - on a main street but still relatively peaceful
Really nice apartment! It's located in a quiet neighborhood away from the city centre. I hired a bike from the owner for a few days which was a good way to see the city of Tiraspol! I would certainly stay again! A good price also. recommended!
The location is excellent; very near the main street, yet tucked away in a quiet corner. The view from the balcony is gorgeous. Staying in a Soviet-era apartment enabled us to experience the rich history and culture of Tiraspol on a deeper level.
Very friendly welcoming family who runs the hostel. The hostel is big, lots of space and everything is very clean. The breakfast was amazing. The private room and dorms are both great. Defenitly the place to stay in Tiraspol
Staff was super helpful, despite the language barrier (Google Translate). Staff kindly broke my $100 dollar bill at the bank in the morning to give me back my exact change. Location is central for Tiraspol.
Great location in Tiraspol, walking distance to bus terminal and center, very kind host and let me check in early, well equipped kitchen if you want to cook, located in a quite neighborhood
A great hotel in an awesome city. Very friendly and welcoming host. Very well maintained location. Seems brand new. I had a great time and will come back when in Tiraspol next time!
Great place few mile out of the city but taxi was only 2 pound and a bloke from hotel took us to bus station in the morning.
breakfast was nice . Will go back next summer deffo .
Clean room and very spacious apartment. The apartment is in the city center of Tiraspol so you can go easily everywhere by walk. Flexible check n/check out time.
Irina welcomed us very friendly and explained everything very well. The flat is big and comfortable.
Tiraspol city is not far away, supermarket is very near.
Comfy bed and in a quiet location. Gym is amazing, one of the best hotel gyms I've seen. Receptionists spoke English well which is rare in Transnistria.
