Good location, easy to do the Trolltunga trek. But that’s it.

Trolltunga is worth to see but the hike is very long and very hard even for young people that are not necessarily trained but slim and normal active.
The Fjord are just amazing and the scenery can also be discovered by car along the road. It´s even possible to hike up to a glacier. Unique experience since I have never done that before. For people coming from the city it needs to be noted that dinner should be properly planned since everything is closing very early.

Lots of hikes that we didn’t know about when we booked.
Lots of hikes that we didn’t know about when we booked. We hiked trolltunga, which was absolutely amazing. The walk up is not overly challenging but still quite physical! We camped at the top which was very easy to do, and we managed to take some incredible photos when on the rock.
Unfriendly staff, very dirty near the hotel as it is being renovated and you enter the construction site. The administrator was not in a good mood and did not want to communicate not only with us, but with everyone. It’s hard to understand what you book in one building, the keys in another, then you return again to leave largeg and return back to park the car. They could not charge because the places were occupied, but the cars were not charged, but simply stood. The only amazing thing is the view of the fjord.
What a lovely property, quite nearby to the Trolltunga hike, and the lovely towns of Tyssedal and Odda. We were a group of seven, so one of our party had to sleep in the common room on the large sofa, but it was not uncomfortable and we were happy with the extra linens and pillows provided. The rooms were all comfortable and the supplies provided met our needs. Check-in was very easy, and we were very grateful for that process as we got into town quite late in the evening.
The hotel is very, very nice, with the restaurant/breakfast room overlooking the water and offering amazing views to a waterfall, mountains. The restaurant is excellent, highly recommended for dinner, the best meal I ate in Norway. Breakfast selection is great, closes a little early at 9am, but starts very early for hikers so understandable. Proximity to the Trolltunga hike is great.
We were a little concerned because of the latest reviews, but it came out as a pleasant surprise - everything was clean, tidy and well organized. Yeah it's old fashioned, but that gives the whole place rather a stylish charm! We truly felt like in the old days in a good way! They even have a nice terrace with barbecue!
Very large unit, clean, kitchen with everything you need.
The communication was easy.
We had a minor problem with some things that were missing and it was resolved in a couple of minutes.

Amazing mountain view.
We had a big apartment, good kitchen and bathroom, and especially enjoyed eating on the balcony with a view over the mountains. From tyssedal we were able to do hikes in both the folgefonna and hardangervidda nationalpark by public transport.
Convenient location for the Trolltunga hike.
Very good restaurant in the main hotel.
Good view from a large window and comfortable beds.
Very clean and spacious.
Check in is at the “parent hotel”.
A beautiful hotel with a great atmosphere, a great view of the fjord, convenient parking, perfect service, excellent cuisine, great breakfasts, a great point of departure for Trolltunga
Gorgeous view from the room - easy to get to both Odda and to Trolltunga. Reception staff are super helpful, and helped us arrange taxis as needed during our stay. Highly recommend.
