The location was lovely, the mountain views from the pool were stunning, and the grounds were overall look and feel of the hotel were all really good. Most of the staff were quite helpful and friendly, but the service, particularily in the dining area, was average at best.

The best accomodation ever!!! Spotless clean,super equiped, lovely garden!!! Very stylish interior, very spacious and super comfortable veds. Welcome was very warm and outstanding. Would never book another accomodation in that area again. Its also very centrally located, with nice restaurants and little shops around.

The Museum of Music & Instuments of the Indian Ocean is not to be missed! Maison Folio is also worth a visit to see both the house and beautiful garden. We ate dinner at Chez Alice - best to pre-book as it is popular. We had the plat du jour for 22 Euros and were very satisfied with both the quality and quantity of the food. It would have been better to stay at least 2 nights in Salazie and done some walking in the surrounds.

We even got a small pineapple from her garden as a gift. Alice speaks perfect English. The house is on a small hill and you have a nice view (you can even see waterfalls). You have a lot of space to spread out. The terrace on both sides is also very large. The small towns of Salazie and Hell Bourg are not far from here. We felt very good and had a great time! On the top of it there was a unbelievable rainbow when we arrived.BeateAustria

The lady of the house keeps the property in an excellent state and everything is as clean as in a 5 star hotel. Furthermore, she is very attentive and serves an epic breakfast, directs you to the few restaurants around and the property is very close to hiking trails that go into Mafate.
