Hotel itself was very nice but people should have been told that staff was running late so they didn't know what time that breakfast would be ready. People were waiting 15+ minutes before someone said something. I'm thinking what if wanted to catch a bite before they headed out for an appointment. That 15 minutes could have caused them to be late. At least post a sign as soon as you know something so people can make other plans. NOBODY wants to be left wondering. It's understandable when things beyond someones control happen but it's not acceptable when you have control over a situation and you don't communicate.... a simple sign would work.

Absolutely clean, and “new/modern” feeling. The staff even pulled off rose petals on the bed for the wife’s birthday trip, before we arrived as a request! The chef came to personally check on his dishes…if you stay at or near Helen GA, you’d be silly to choose anywhere else (assuming you have standards lol). PERFECT!

Helen was beautiful and quaint.
Helen was beautiful and quaint. A little too touristy but I guess the atmosphere is the main draw. Enjoyed the natural areas around Helen the most. So peaceful and quiet. Everything is so green... something appreciated by someone visiting from Florida. Staying at Vahalla Resort was perfect. The Resort was beautiful, and the staff were extremely accommodating. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quality experience. The food at the resort was so good we hardly had to venture anywhere else for dining.

Friendly comfortable relaxing but a little pricey. . For sure a place to reconnect or rejuvenate your relationship, it's clear you're mind. Ghost shops were kinda the same but overall I really hated to leave.

I loved Helen. This as our first trip.
I loved Helen. This as our first trip. I did not realize the amount of shops closed during the off season (end of January) However, We still had a really good time. Loved how quaint. ALL of the people were friendly. My favorites on this trip was Heidelberg, Hancel and Gretel candy. And then we topped the evening off over at Bettys across the street on the patio with some really , really tasty beer. The people and the bar tenders were so friendly. It seemed like we were all friends for a long time.

Don’t come to Helen when it is raining.
Don’t come to Helen when it is raining. And, there is not much going on in January other than the Christmas decorations are still up. There are some nice restaurants but they are all pretty expensive (over $40 for two sandwiches at lunch). All the shops downtown are way over priced, as I have seen better quality in some junk stores. We didn’t buy anything - just window shopped. The little park on the hill is nice and there is some free parking there. Almost all other parking is paid, traffic is awful and cops are everywhere anxious to issue tickets.

Helen is a quint German themed town with interesting shops and eateries. You can park and walk around to most of the stores. Some of the stores further away from the town centre are too far to walk, but there is plenty to keep you busy for at least day. A river runs through town which offers tubing and other facilities in summer. We visited over the Christmas weekend Dec2023 and the lights on display were beautiful and magical. We returned for this reason. On the town square musicians were playing Christmas music and other themed entertainment were provided. The town and restaurants closed by 6pm on Christmas eve, which was unexpected but it added to that wonderful feeling that Christmas was sacred. So be aware that only one or two restaurants were open late for dinner. We attended the Christmas Eve Communion Service at the Helen Presbyterian Church. This was special. It was a rainy evening but the lights all over town were magical and being so quiet it gave enough time to look at the lights a few times. Overall Helen is worth a visit for a weekend. Do not miss the Christmas lights.

The Christmas lights were fantastic But, all the made in china stuff was over priced Infact everything was over priced I live in a resort town Nothing opened until 10 so it greatly cut into our time there The town itself holds a lot of charm
Location was good. We parked and walked the entire time. We booked and checked-in within 30 minutes through booking.com after our first hotel in Helen was not what we expected. We had a suite which was large and clean with a balcony overlooking a nice park that was decorated for the holidays. Great place to let the kids run off their energy. Also, there was a dollar store within a 2-minute walking distance for those last minute items. It was the perfect stay for us during the holidays. We would stay again.
This hotel is within walking distance to all the main attractions of Helen, GA. It has beautiful landscaping in the backyard facing a flowing river with gorgeous private homes behind.
The staff were helpful and friendly - true southern hospitality. There was a delicious, hot breakfast served every morning with ample variations every day. We really enjoyed the privilege of making fresh waffles with the waffle irons they had at the breakfast location.
Hotel is in a beautiful location — we enjoyed a lovely view of the mountains. Room was spacious and nicely decorated, and the bathroom was very large. We enjoyed our balcony, and wished that we’d been able to enjoy the pool. Though not included, we enjoyed breakfast each morning on the outside balcony. Quiet location, but not far from the bustling town of Helen and scenic drives. Staff and owner were exceedingly welcoming and gracious.
The property manager was great. He tried everything in his power to make our stay great. Like to nightly fire pit and relaxing area by the outdoor pool table and they have corn hole available to play. The rooms are old but very clean.
A simple inn but the room seemed renovated and nice.
the staff were lovely and happy to help.
Nice location in helen and not in a busy out loud part of town. A cute grab and go breakfast nook with coffee and a few nice options.
the hotel was excellent, good location near by to the main street, quiet place, room clean and confortable, customer service excellent, i highly recommend the hotel good quality and price. I will come back
Location was good to all things downtown. Easy walking to the main street. Plenty of self parking. Very quiet. Liked having 2 bathrooms. The continental breakfast was basic, but the coffee was very good.
The service was excellent, the reception was very good, Hanna is super polite and helpful, we loved her, the breakfast was excellent, the room very clean, helpful staff, we will return without a doubt.
It was in walking distance to downtown Helen. Owners were very nice. Breakfast was great and we got to meet some nice people. First time in a Bed and Breakfast we will be going back again.
Within walking distance of downtown Helen, which is very helpful considering the cost of parking. The hotel was just off the main road so there was never a lot of noise from traffic.
Staff very sweet and helpful as well as updated rooms The location was perfect for walking in the town. This hotel was less money than I have paid for other hotels in Helen.
Room was not properly cleaned. Trash in the nightstand drawer and dust on the lamps. Sheet had a stain but was clean. Location was very nice and close to everything.
The house was large and accommodated our party of 11 well enough. The location/neighborhood were very close to downtown Helen and surrounded by beautiful scenery.
Excellent staff very friendly. The apple pancakes for breakfast were freshly made and tasted delicious. Over all a great place to stay in downtown Helen
