The best Lodge I’ve ever been privileged enough to stay at.
The best Lodge I’ve ever been privileged enough to stay at. Gorgeous building, and it only gets more breathtaking when you walk in. High quality rooms, the set-up of the shower was something that was just far beyond pleasant, and high-quality service. Also, My Gorsh the friendliness of the stuff ...I swear they treat you like you the only guest that they have ever hosted. This is the one place that I would like to visit each and every year...every month if I could...Lol If only. But seriously this is by far one of theeeeeeee best place.

The roads in the area are in the most terrible state, driving became a nightmare. Taxi drivers possed the worst threat. They ignored virtually all traffic signs.
Lastly, passing trucks were a nightmare, they totally kept me awake most nights

My problems were with the unwillingness of Tranquil Nest to provide me with my selected accomodation.
I have no feedback on Hazyview as such exept to warn visitors on the very poor road conditions. There is every chance to damage your vehicle wheels and suspension if you are not extremely vigilant. It is much worse than ever before. Potholes/crumbling tar etc etc.

A good choice of hotels at a wide range of prices.
A good choice of hotels at a wide range of prices. All pretty close to the gates to the park. We went low end of up market and could probably have had just as good an experience in some of the cheaper accommodation. Take half board because if you are out all day looking for game you will be tired. Would recommend self drive in a decent size car. Protection from the heat or the cold and no dust. Be prepared to drive for some hours. Being out longer gives you a better chance to come across the animals. Best to plan a 3 hour trip to a destination in the park then come back via another route. So a 6 hour drive. You should then manage to see a variety of the animals. We bought the expensive park guide but worth it. Gives kilometers for each section so easy to plan the days drive. Speed limit is between 40 -50 k so judge how far you can get and leave extra time to get back out of the park.

The chalet was clean with a river view,
we enjoyed seeing Hippos and elephants on the riverbank. But the free wifi didn't connect on our site. Breakfast was super but the buffet was expensive 😩 😫 I will definitely go back again the place is clean with a beautiful garden 😊 I wish we could have stayed for two more nights.

Close to Kruger Park gates, but take care on the roads as there are very many potholes and tyre replacement may happen, make sure a hire care has full sized spare, don't get a car with low profile tyres and take out tyre insurance. Because of the potholes don't travel at night especially in the rain Many tyre shops in Hazyview but closed on New Years Day. Hazyview can appear a bit crazy but the shopping centres are convenient and new - go with the African flow!
Great location to visit attractions in Hazyview. The hostess was very helpful in suggesting activities and made sure we had everything we needed to be comfortable. I had let them know ahead of time that I was vegan and she prepared special vegan sausages and had plant milk available at breakfast. She was extremely helpful with providing directions and a picture of the hotel entrance and even sent us a list of the loadshedding schedule so we were prepared for the power and water outages.
Great place to stay, a bit longer if you have time. SPACIOUS. Very clean. The road towards the property carries little relationship towards what you will find at the end of your road.
It is all reasonably well marked and google maps will help you. After dark, coming from town, the entry road may not be that visible, just remember it is right after the fuel station, on your right. Be aware that you are driving on a busy (Trucks) road, also in the evening.
The lodge is 10min away from the Paul Kruger Gate so is convenient and quick. The accomodation overlooks the river and Kruger park. We stayed in the self catering part which was fantastic. Was worried that having the bathroom and kitchen in other rooms about 10 steps away but it was fine, actually better. The pool was cool and inviting. The dinner was 3 course set menu which was very tasty and had good choices. A lovely place.
Checking in went very smooth, safe parking, a nice clean room, great swimming pool and a good breakfast (also for our vegan). The hotel with quiet surroundings is a relaxation oasis as well as an excellent starting point to discover the Kruger National Park.
We felt very much at home here thanks to the exceptionally kind and welcoming staff. We would highly recommend this lodge to anyone looking to stay in Hazyview.
We had a wonderful stay at Mdluli! The rooms were exceptional and the staff so friendly and helpful. The room was clean and beyond our expectations. This is truly a luxury tented experince. The property overlooks a watering hole and you can watch animals from the pool area or from your tent. The access into Kruger National Park is amazing. This is a treat hotel for couples or families. And the food was great!
Our little cabin was lovely and private - the river view was beautiful.
We enjoyed our dinner and the service was generally better in the evening.
The little heated splash pool on our deck was fantastic and we really enjoyed playing putt putt and table tennis.
The resort facilities were really nice, next time we'd prefer to try one of the self catering units.
The place was so organized and had everything you would need for self catering, from spoons, dish washer, iron, even ironing board. Had clean towels and bedding. The bed was comfortable and covered parking. It is suitable for family. Had good time and very close to kruger national park gates
The hotel was wonderful. It was quiet, located on the beautiful river overlooking the park and hippos. Staff was so friendly in all capacities. Dinner (included) exceeded our expectations. The safari they arranged was excellent as well.
Everything about the place, the room, food and service was out of this world,I recommend the place for everyone . For me it was the 1st of many more visits to the hotel, I was exceptional.what I saw is what I got.
Location ideal and central to Park as well as other attractions.
Place is beautiful but doesn't allow you that comfortable stay ito of comfort (reference to hotel rooms) and value for money.
I can't say enough good things about Tranquil Nest in Hazyview. My stay here was absolutely fantastic! Very clean and comfortable! Staff extremely accommodating with any and all requests.
Clean and spacious
Very close to the Kruger gate and other attractions nearby
Hazyview is a lovely spot, many beautiful trees sprawled across the hillside
