The location is ideal for the beach and long walks along the front.
The walk is 1 minute walk on the flat, to get there.
The pool is 1 of the best we have seen in Europe, as it is in the sun all day with plenty of sunlougers. Spotlessly clean hotel.

It's clearly a city that is growing its tourism sector by building new hotels and restaurants along the coast. The current location is lovely on the beach, and the hotels and restaurants are great, but the infrastructure is still developing (as one should expect in a developing country) so can be a bit difficult to navigate.

Durres is nice to visit for the day if you’re coming from Tirana as it’s a 30 minute bus ride and only 180 lek. However, this is a case of Instagram vs reality, the photos of the beach do not measure up. Unfortunately the beach is riddled with building debris and plastic waste, making it unsafe to walk on barefoot. I would not return and would not come here for a beach holiday.
Sunsets on the beach were nice.

Durres is the largest seaport of the country and the oldest...
Durres is the largest seaport of the country and the oldest city in Albania with almost 3,000 years of history. Learning the history of this country was valuable in understanding the areas where I have been. Albania has suffered much under the cruel 40-year dictatorshp of Enver Hoxha that lasted until 1985. He was an atheist and ordered all buildings of worship to be destroyed. Thus, I have only seen a handful of churches and mosques. The Grand Mosque is located nearby and is a lovely piece of architecture. The calls to worship that come from the speakers on the minaret (pointing in all directions of the compass) are pleasant to hear even if they start at 6:00 a.m. The calls are heard 5 times a day and is a part of every day life.
There are several open air archeological sites within walking distance. Museums were closed unfortunately during my entire 14-day stay. Cafes are everywhere and offer inexpensive tasty traditional food.
It is obvious that the city is very affluent with the influx of tourism. The sidewalks in the centre are made of polished stone. English is spoken or understood in limited degrees but enough for me to be understood. When I pay for an item, I put the small change in my hand and they pick out the coins needed and are always careful to let me know what they are doing. Albanian currency is the LEK although they will accept euros at 100 LEK to 1 Euro.
Durres has been my home for two weeks and it has been a relaxing and enjoyable time.

Durres is on the one hand an exiting city, but on the other too crowded.
The traffic is terrible. High airpolution. Mentality of people different to what we are used to in Europe.
Every body is very friendly when asked for help or support, and a lot of them are speaking broken German lanuage, 90% of the young males lover 3er BMW, the older generation is more or less Mercedes-fan.
All other cars are not cars, but vehicles.
But be careful. Not all are your friends.
The females know two ways of talking only: 1. loud / 2. very loud
Beside the capital Tirana, and the big towns Durres and Shkodar, where people most live, the country is poor, but with a lovely landscape.
It takes more then 3 weeks to discover Albania and its secrets. But its worthwile, once you are retired and still fit and adventoures.

we went to the city of Durrës twice, once by city bus (but inside the bus was very crowded) and the second time we went by taxi. The city was very beautiful and we saw development constructions being done, the food was very tasty, I recommend it to others because they will find what they are looking for in their vacation

We made a visit to Durrës on the second part of October.
We made a visit to Durrës on the second part of October. The weather was still very good. (26-30°C).
The best thing in Durres was the value for money. The food is really good. The fish is super fresh/localy , and this for very low prices. The prices are 3 times lower than in Belgium.
People are very friendly but there English is not that good. The area is safe and the people are honest about their prices.
You really see that it is a country/city in development. There will be old-abandoned buildings next to new ones. And the infrastructure is old or non existing.
There are some old historical ruines in the city. But they are not cared for.
But certainly it is a nice please to visit for 1-2 days.
The hotel was located in one of the best locations in Durres. It has got a private beach with sand.
The rooms are spacious and super clean.
I was so happy to see that it’s a children friendly hotel. There were toys, bikes and sea toys available.
More importantly the staff makes you feel like you are welcome to their house.
They are super helpful, friendly and hospitable.
It was the best place to stay in Albania. I strongly recommend Hill Side beach hotel for a family getaway!!!
My stay at this Airbnb was absolutely fantastic! The location was ideal, close to the center, and the space itself was clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The host was exceptional , going above and beyond to ensure that I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Communication was seamless, and any questions or concerns I had were promptly addressed. I highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone visiting Durres, Albania and look forward to returning in the future!
Very friendly owners, communicative English, room big enough for a family of 3. A/C in the room. Will definitely consider staying again should we decide to go back to Albania. 10-15 min walk to the beach, driving is not feasible as there is no parking near the beach. Recommend going to Portez Beach, only 12kms away, about 25-30min drive. Overall very positive experience, and great budget alternative to expensive hotels if you are looking for a basic place for your stay.
Hotel is in the center,on the beach, all rooms have a seaview.Parking,Beach umbrellas and deck chairs are includes in the room price,so as a breakfast .
Klebrido restaurant is on the beach and served very delicious food with s reasonable prices.
Hotel stuff is very kind and professional,so if you need excange money you can do it at the hotel.Prices is in Albanian lek or euros.
So hotel Klebrido is great value for the money and recommend it for family with children.
Fabulous place to stay, secluded but very close to Durres city. A family run business and they do everything they can to make your stay amazing. The food was the best we've had and the room was spotless and had everything you need with its own private garden and access to the beach. There is no WIFI but I had an Albanian SIM card and just used hotspot for the other devices. No real problem. It's very peaceful and friendly and we'll definitely like to come back.
Was my first time in Albania and choosing to stay at Vila One Hotel was indeed the right decision. From the moment of my arrival, it was clear this experience would be extraordinary. The hotel itself is perfection, masterfully blending luxury with comfort. A particular highlight was the breakfast, where everything served was fresh, ensuring a delightful beginning to each day. I highly recommend Vila One Hotel to anyone in search of a memorable stay in Albania.
Most of the staff was super helpful and accommodating.
There was a younger woman at the bar who helped us get towels and had great English.
There was a younger man with good English waited on us in the restaurant twice and was very kind.
And there was an older man who was very patient with me and my very poor Albanian.
The view of the Sea was incredible.
The restaurant had great food prices and service!
Large apartment, very comfortable, private and quiet. Close to everything and easy to get around. And parking very close!! While traveling around Albania , I have found that to be difficult at times. Jessie is such a great host. He was very communicative, friendly and helpful. He even offered to give me his parking spot if there wasn't a spot near by, but there was. Totally enjoyed stay.
Our stay was amazing which is considered the best stay ever in Albania.
The owner is very humble and incredibly supportive also the reception staff was very friendly and helpful.
The management of the hotel is very generous for all guests’ needs.
Moreover, location, breakfast and hospitality were amazing too.
I’m really very thankful for this super hotel ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Very friendly and helpful owners and staff. Check in was very smooth and as a single traveller i felt very safe in this area. Location just perfect as the sandy beach was just beside the restaurant. Parking at the hotel with no problem. All needed was provided in the hotel room. The bed was very comfortable. The Albanian breakfast was very tasty. Free Wi-Fi. Thank you!
Great facilities. Especially the outdoor pools. I loved the pizza restaurant and the cocktail bar. The rooms was spacious and exquisite. Most of the staff was helpful and very friendly. A separate gated parking area with direct access to the hotel.
A recommended premium experience after multiple Albanian hotels with varying standard.
Great breakfast!
No words to describe the place. The place perfect, the stuff is honest, hotel is clean, the boys are working like a crazy. I have never seen 2 boys to work like a 5 person. Professional, they know English for no Albanian speaker. Also to mention the food was perfect.
Hospitality excellent, with the guest they are like family.
Recommended, good price and the apartment is new, a 9th floor with a balcony. Modern, Netflix, beautiful and fully equipped, fiber optic Wi-Fi and very good air conditioning. It is clean and the landlord is very kind and flexible, she let us check in before and check out after. He speaks Russian, English and Albanian.
This is one of the best locations in Durres, the property is located exactly on the beachfront, the apartment I had got sea view, there are restaurants and supermarkets near the location, owner can arrange transfer to and from the airport if requested, overall very nice experience, highly recommended
Wonderful apartment with beautiful ocean view in great location. It's well equipped even for a longer stay, it also has a washing machine. It is surrounded by many good restaurants and cafes, about 50 meters from the ocean. Probably the best place we've stayed in Albania. Highly recommended!
The restaurant was the best thing about this hotel. We ate dinner there two nights and the service, food and wine were good. We had the complimentary breakfast, which was a plentiful buffet and decent filtered coffee (almost impossible to find in Albania). The room was clean and a good size.
Everything was wonderful, very pleased that I stayed right here, a cozy and pleasant place but also close to the sea or the central streets for a walk. The room was just fantastic, all amenities top-notch. Special thanks to the hotel staff for printing out my ticket.
Ermest thank you for your great hospitality to the guests from Serbia, we are really appriciate that. Everything was perfect, we will recommand you to our friends. Albanian see is very nice and warm, fair enough prices, so we are satisfied with everything.
This hotel is REAL (this classification is needed in Albania). It is run by 2 friendly brothers who run a small caffe downstairs. When you get a top quality coffee just downstairs it means day started well.
We liked the hotel very much. It was exceptional, the rooms were spacy and clean. The hostes were more than friendly, to help in every situation, since it was our first stay in Albania.
