We arrived very late due to heavy rain. It’s located at the end of the old town and the start of Camino route. It looks like a castle and rooms r big with big bathroom with a bath tub. The decor is very ancient as the hotel was open in 1928 n I think most of the furniture was from that time. We had a very late dinner n the food was excellent.

Lovely big room and bottled water provided, but would have liked tea making in the room. Heating difficult to get cooled.

Pontevedra is a must on anyone's list visiting the north of Spain. I have fallen in love with the town and will definitely be back when I can. It is clean and has an old town charm about it and very easy to get around. Loads of history and also enough to keep you busy on an evening for a night filled with tapas and wine. Also, best churros I have ever had.

The people in Pontevedra were lovely.
The people in Pontevedra were lovely. Very friendly & helpful. Food & drink were value for money & always good quality. It feels very ‘Spanish’ & not too touristy. Totally recommend for a mainland stay.

Pontevedra is a very pretty city. The old town area is large and stylish and has all the tourist needs like amazing food and drink places, accommodation, markets and shops and it's been fully pedestrianised. Also is surrounded by amazing beaches and trekking paths.

Pontevedra has a charming old city center, with its two-storied houses and its porticoes. As a pilgrim, I recommend a visit to the cathedral and to the monastery complex, and a casual stroll about the streets. Though I know there is much more to see and to do in Pontevedra besides passing by. There are restaurants for every taste, ranging from fast food and pizzas to the local gastronomy, which is very rich and tasty - the fish and the octopus. If there is one thing I really didn't like (at all), it was the bus station, which looks abandoned. If you must travel by bus, you'd better go directly to the bus parking place and try to find someone to talk to over there - or ask a bus driver.

Pontevedra (and surrounding areas) is a must to visit. The food is great, the atmosphere is relaxed - so a great place to go if you want to get away. It has history, culture and the walk along the river is priceless (either for sport or just to relax). The people are great too. Pontevedra is a great city to walk in (you can tell there's been a big push for pedestrians in preference to cars!)

Great city to visit, well of the tourist trail.
Great city to visit, well of the tourist trail. Lots of bars & restaurants, especially in the old city. Did a trip to the Atlantic coast which was well worth the effort. Stunning views out to the islands.
The property was exceptionally clean. And the proprietor was exceptionally responsive. Bottled water, coffee and a bottle of wine (!) were provided, as well as a map of town, etc. The location was great, it was especially good for walking around town. As to be expected, there were stairs which were easily doable; and noise from outside nighttime activity, which didn't stop us from a good sleeping experience.
If we found ourselves in Pontevedra again, you can bet we would seek out this property!
I never leave reviews but feel compelled to review this one. In the last 60 days I have stayed in all manner of accommodations in Spain and this one was by far the most thoughtful and well organized of them all. It was beautiful, spotless and perfectly located. Sylvia responded to my inquiries within seconds. Everything you will want or need is provided and checking in and out was flawless.
This hotel is located in the center of the old town, close to all. We were glad to be in the old town of Pontevedra, which has many pleasant plazas, restaurants and stores. The hotel is not fancy, but it’s very clean, with comfortable beds and a modern bathroom. It’s a great location for anyone walking the Camino or just visiting the fun town of Pontevedra.
Everything. The hostel had a good location, was exceptionally clean and the standard more of a hotel than a hostel. Some great extras, such as laundry and breakfast too. If you are going to Pontevedra, you can't do better than stay here. Gracias a Julio por todos sus esfuerzos - y dále las gracias a tu madre también!
After a long day on the Camino, I was happy to find the hotel nicely located on the path. It's a bit of a distance from the old town, maybe a 20 minute walk, but it's a nice walk past all the stores and restaurants you could want. Room and bathroom good sized, upgraded, clean, modern, and comfy.
We'd highly recommend this hotel. Our room was exceptionally clean which is always our top priority. The bathroom was sparkling clean. Our window overlooked other buildings where homeowners hung their laundry from window to window - very quaint.
The apartment is just lovely. Very well designed and it offers everything you need. The balcony is a nice plus. We enjoyed some drinks there after a long day of walking. Very close to the old town of Pontevedra. Would definitely stay there again.
the location is very near the station very convenient and the hosts is very kind , the apartment is comfort , its one of the good experience for the hotel in spain , highly recommended if you are not alone then you can cook by yourself
The room was spacious with two twin beds and a couch. The bathroom had two sinks and very comfy tub. Great shower. The property was walking distance to Churches and shopping. The public parking was a short walk to hotel.
Boa Vila is bang on the Camino de Santiago which is great if you're walking it (we were). Although I found the room a little pricy in comparison with other accommodation in this part of Spain, it was clean and comfortable.
Great location in Pontevedra! New property; beautifully furnished; friendly and helpful mother and son team; great breakfast; right along the Camino and amongst plenty of nightlife and restaurants.
We stayed for 1 night
And at that night I hit like 6 emails from the hotel with instructions ! So annoying
There was nothing extra just very simple. It looks better on photos
Hotel virgen del camino is a nice and very confortable hotel. Rooms are clean and nice. It's in the city centre near restaurants and shops.
I highly reccomend It.
Very helpful staff. Hotel spotlessly clean. Room was well appointed and comfortable. A short walk to both train station and old town. Very good value stay.
