This is the 3rd time I have stayed in the hotel. We were given a very spacious room on the top floor which was perfect as we were travelling with our 2 dogs. I have always enjoyed staying here as it is very centrally located, the owner is very personable and helpful.

Well located. Parking available without issue. Property has a lovely view of the cathedral - stunning at sunset/night/sunrise. Good to have outdoor space too. Excellent communication from owner with door codes/instructions, etc. prior to arrival so no pressure to be there at a set time to meet somebody.

Great old center with lots of interesting sights, a decent number of shops and a couple of good restaurants. We went on a tour of the "Souterrains de Laon : Secrets sous la ville" which was great, with explanation by the tour guide in English + an audio guide in French, English and Dutch (all with "Adult" or "Child" option). Tickets and audio guides are available at the Tourist Office, at the Cathedral square.

What a lovely little town and such beautiful decorations in the streets as well as a night of music and fab street life (end of july) make sure you book ahead in a couple of restaurants uphill near the cathedral. Worth stopping and visiting when driving down from the uk towards Reims southward. A hidden little French jewel.

A charming authentic French medieval town which is going to be reborn culturally owing to the new mayor. The central street is a revelation of all the senses owing to a beautiful decor.
There still many closed houses though - one can guess that the town is not rich and many houses were abandoned.

A very interesting fortified city with wonderful view over the surrounding countryside and it's well worth taking the time to walk the 7km of ramparts. The cathedral should not be ignored either and is on a par with Reims and Bourges.

Wonderful medieval city with history center and outstanding cathedral. Somewhat hard to navigate the streets (not atypical) but easier after getting oriented. Good last stop on my trip with easy drive to Charles de Gaulle for flight home.

Laon has two parts to it, the old town and the new town.
Laon has two parts to it, the old town and the new town. We just visited the old town, which was just lovely. The cathedral is stunning on the outside but a bit plain on the inside. The detail on the outside was awesome, literally. So much detail to it and incredible at night time as it's lit up. Feels very gothic.
Lots of interesting shops in the town and, when we went, the street skylines had been decorated with balloons and lampshades. Might sound odd but it was beautiful. Plenty of restaurants to choose from. We stayed here for an overnight stop on the way and on the way back from the south of France. I feel you wouldn't need any more than one or two nights here, but was definitely worth the visit.
Situated in the historic centre of a very beautiful town. Easy walking distance to the main square, in which, and on the way to which, you I'll find a wide choice of restaurants, bars and cafes. Parking can be a bit of an issue, although I was lucky, and this is the centre of a town that, sometime in the nineth century, was France's capital so the streets weren't designed for modern cars. But if you're in the historic centre you just have to accept these things. I'd happily stay there again
Everything was to expectation. I particularly liked the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. We arrived with our camper van to stay at the Ibis because there are very few campsites open in France in October. There was spacious safe parking for our camper while we stayed in the Hotel. Unfortunately the restaurant was not open the night we stayed but Joel the staff member on duty that night prepared us a lovely supper which was much appreciated.
I have been in this hotel several times. Very time again the staff at the reception (open 24/7) welcomes me very friendly and is very helpful. The rooms are large enough, bathroom very efficiently organized in order to have what you need on a small footprint. The room was clean as always. The breakfast was good and sufficient. Covid19 rules applied well.
The Logis du Parvis is situated in the medieval city of Laon directly infront of the majestic cathedral. There are few hotel/bars/restaurants in Europe that can match such a stunning location in which to eat-drink. The cathedral is astounding & your eyes are always returning to it.
This lovely hotel is within walking distance of all he attractions in Laon. It maintains a lovely French classic feel. The owners were so helpful to us. My husband had a fall and the helped him and even had his glasses fixed. They went above and beyond for us.
For a 1 night stopover en route to the Alps, it was convenient, clean and cheap. There was a very reasonable restaurant within 100 metres which catered for vegans - always a bonus in France - and the karaoke was fun without being invasive.
Really lovely hotel in a perfect location in Laon. Spotlessly clean and comfy rooms in an old building in the old town, couple of minutes from the cathedral. Parking round the corner. The owner was incredibly helpful and welcoming.
Nice hotel near the station at the bottom of the hill with balcony views of the cathedral. Very friendlly welcome. Nice clean room, comfortable bed and pretty quiet given how central it is. Walking distance to great restaurants.
Really decent stopover for the Alps. Rooms are clean, warm and comfortable. There is a restaurant, plus there are lots of takeaways that'll deliver, or other restaurants nearby. Laon is a beautiful medieval city to visit.
Location was amazing. The hotel faces the incredible cathedral, whose facade is illuminated at night. Just a great experience, only surpassed by the incredible dinner attached to the hotel.
Second time here , nice room nice location really friendly staff. Plenty of parking nearby and near to town centre. Attractive old town a short but steep walk away.
Charming renovation of an old convent. Attic room is where you want to be. Bonus - can see Laon Cathedral towers from your windows and they are lit at night.
Good location for a stopover (near motorway). Rooms basic, but clean and comfortable. For the price exactly what I would expect and good value for money
