Great Reception staff. Called us on the day to warn us that the town centre was blocked off due to a Carnval. Hotel very well located. Parking nearby. Quiet rooms. Very clean. Comfortable beds.

Bungalow was lovely, I could easily live in one. Beautifully decorated and everything you could ask for. Lovely and clean. Facilities for camping looked brand new, bar was also a lovely addition and you could order fresh pastries and food to collect at the bar. Owners are lovely and very friendly and helpful

The origins of the château-fortress of Péronne go back to the 7th Century AD. In medieval times it was a Royal Residence for the Ancien Régime. The complex, that now integrates a 21st C. wing, houses a WW I museum with focus on the non military aspects of that war and the conséquences for the region. Remarkable townhall and a wealth of slow travel and biking options in the vicinity.

We mostly picked Peronne as it was a well located stop for our tour - and it had a museum. I'm so glad I did as the museum was one of the best parts of the trip (although really sobering and sad).

Peronne is a lovely town and an ideal base for exploring the 1916 Battle of the Somme Battlefield and the 1918 battles that brought the first World War to a close following the breach of the Hindenburg Line in 1918. There are good exaples of Art Deco architecture and many more examples in nearby St Quentin. Amiens is just a 40 minute drive.

Péronne made for a great base to visit the southern parts of the First World War Somme battlefields. The Historial museum in the town was excellent (especially the Otto Dix gallery), and there were plenty of places to eat and drink in the town. The town centre was quite picturesque.
We arrived at Noir Lion-hot/tired but made to feel very welcome by Sophie, we soon cooled down had an early night and slept very well--the Breakfast was excellent in quality and variety. Would have liked to have stayed in Peronne longer, but we had achieved our prime objective to visit my Grandfathers grave--I had promised my wife we would visit Brittany on this visit to France.
This property is in a quiet location not far from the centre of Peronne and very well positioned for exploring the memorial sites of the The Battle of the Somme. Unfortunately, because of Covid restrictions we were not offered the breakfast which was a real shame as so many previous reviews raved about how delicious it was!
Ideal stop-over for one night. Lots of small, affordable restaurants very close to the hotel. After dinner, take a stroll around the old fortifications of this cute northern French town. Although we had a room to the street, we could sleep with open windows.
Room was functional with everything necessary for one night.
The room was spacious for a family of four. They had separate beds for every child not normally the case in other hotels. The breakfast was delicious and had a good variety of food. The location was great, a short walk to the museum which we visited the following morning. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful.
Good value for a quick stopover en route to Calais. It would be even better value for families as the rooms sleep 4. It's, as its name suggests, a hostel than a hotel. Staff very helpful and friendly. Simple but adequate breakfast. Nice and clean.
This beautiful house on the main street of Peronne has a small number of more than comfortable bedrooms with excellent bathrooms ensuite. The breakfast is delicious with fresh orange juice, eggs to order and lovely french bread.
The staff was very friendly, the mobil home super clean and Péronne has a lovely park, museum and shops and restaurants nearby. The location was great, easy to make a trip to another town or historical location.
Arrived at hotel hours before check really tired after travelling in the car for 9 hours. The staff went out of their way and allowed us a early check in. Thanks so much guys our stay was superb
It was very convenient for exploring Picardie. It was close to the centre of Peronne. It was very good value for money. The hosts were friendly and helpful.
The hotel was outstanding in almost everything, only problem was the smell of cigarettes, but since it is in France I guess I have to accept that as normal
