Room was dated and extremely hot overnight could not turn heating down/off, lots of cobwebs particularly over the window. Bathroom quite unpleasant to be in. Breakfast was lovely but hot drinks were cold. Parking excellent. Didn’t go into town centre as stayed due to a wedding 4 miles away.
When we left the hotel was due to close for refurbishment.

Before we moved away, we used to eat and drink at the 'Dovey' when we lived in a nearby village so we knew what to expect. This time we stayed in one of the bedrooms and it was lovely, nice to be back. The room was comfortable and well equipped. We enjoyed having a continental breakfast in the comfort of our own room. We also had a vey nice meal and the real ale was far too tasty!

Booked room with single beds.
Booked room with single beds. On arrival found separate rooms with a single bed in each. One room only had window from en-suite. It appears to be a family room as next door is a four foot bed for adults and thus the two singles are for kids. All very clean and tidy albeit no drawer space except that next to bed and dearth of hangers. Breakfast very good with variety.

Lively village, with a variety of small shops, bars, restaurants and coffee shops. 5 minute walk to the centre. Sherwood Pines 100 metres down the road, lovely for walking, shopping, a coffee and to eat and several activities going on. Easy to find details on the Sherwood Pines website.. Foot pavements good to both the village and Pines.
Just lovely also to sit outside or inside at the hotel and read a book.

The breakfast was fantastic.
The breakfast was fantastic.
Marion was a very good hostess.
The property had old fashion décor but I kind of liked it to be honest (I'm 43years old).
Plenty of parking out the back of the property but park parallel to the garages as it is tight the other way.
There are two pubs within easy walking distance of Marion's lodge but it would be a good idea to book a table if you want to have an evening meal there.
Easy access to Centre Parcs, 5 to 10min drive, from the lodge.
Great value for money in my opinion.
The location was great, all amenities you could wish for were in walking distance of the house. There are some lovely little places to go and eat, we were there for a wedding nearby but could happily have had all weekend in Edwinstowe.
The house was absolutely spotless when we arrived and had good spacious rooms with loads of light. The WiFi connection was good 👍 I will definitely be booking to go again later in the year, we all absolutely loved it, such a good price to say where it is too.
Great little cottage just outside the centre of Edwinstowe, but within 5 minutes walking distance of pubs, COOP and local shops. Good position to walk into town and then up and into Sherwood Forest, which was only another 5 minutes walk away. We had some great pub meals in the Forest Lodge and the Great Oak. The Forest Lodge is a lovely pub with excellent staff and landlady - felt very welcomed.
A wow place to stay. Stayed on my own for work. Beautiful high ceilings. A lovely welcome basket. So tastefully decorated. All maintained to a very high standard. Parking outside. Access was super straightforward. I would very much recommend. Edwinstowe appears to be a lovely village with nice shops, pubs and good fish and chips. Good location for Sherwood Forest.
This is a nice old hotel in a lovely location. We stayed here overnight whilst meeting with friends in the area. Our rooms were clean and warm and were equipped with everything we might need for our stay. The staff were friendly and efficient, and the breakfast provided was very nice. Very good value for money, would recommend.
The hotel is well situated for a short stay in the area, with ample free parking The Room was spacious, clean, quiet and comfortable. The facilities. there is a restaurant and a bar where you can also eat, the food was very good and high quality. Breakfast was very good.
. Our room was separated from the main hotel which suited us as we were leaving early + didn't want to disturb anyone else
Hot freshly cooked food was available on site on a Sunday evening, which was appreciated. The wait for food wasn't long either.
All staff we spoke to were lovely and polite and so helpful, especially as we probably looked lost the whole time about where to go! The room was incredibly clean, couldn't fault it, and probably one of the best showers I've had in a hotel!
The house was perfect. Location was perfect. We had a lovely time in Edwinstowe, with good walks, pubs and restaurants all on the doorstep. Could not fault it and will book again should we be up that way another time. Thankyou.
Nice old hotel, great welcome from the staff and service throughout. Easy parking and plenty of it and a good location for Edwinstowe and all its facilities. Breakfast was good and had fried bread, what's to complain about?
