The location of the hotel is central to all amenities. A beautiful park is just across from the hotel. The staff are all helpful and friendly and couldn't do enough to help if you required anything. No much, everything was very basic. Breakfast was simple with only bacon, sausage, fried egg, mushroom and tomato to choose from. Only a few option on in the continental side.

Well located for the centre of Chester, staff were very professional and helpful. Room was clean and fairly modern, bed was a little small and pillows way too soft for my liking. Bathroom is very small (although modern). Overall it’s an ok place to stay.
Staff were very amenable and it was an easy hotel to access.

Current renovation work meant we swapped rooms as initially all we had was scaffolding at the window.
Breakfast was just adequate but definitely not great value.

Ask the reception for a quiet room, mine was overlooking the M56, luckily I had some earplugs with me so that filtered out the noise.
Its ok but would rate the hotel as being on the same level as a Premier Inn, it used to be a more higher rating than a Premier Inn but standards are not what they used to be.
Food was ok but don't expect 4* restaurant class food.
I cannot comment on the other facilities as was only there for one night

Garden City is an awful place.
Garden City is an awful place. Luckily, this hotel isn’t really in Garden City but conveniently placed just off the A55. The nearest village is Hawarden, which is lovely - pubs, farm shop, Gladstone Library. But really this hotel is a base to explore Chester (15 mins drive) or the North Wales coast.

On arrival staff in the hotel were friendly and helpful.
On arrival staff in the hotel were friendly and helpful. The bar and restaurant were extremely busy but the rooms were quiet.
The room was of a good size and well equipped with hairdryer and ironing board etc.
I found the mattress hard but this may just be personal preference.
The bath was very slippery without a mat or rough surface for showering. This should be rectified as it could be dangerous.
Tea and coffee were provided but these were very basic. It would have been nice to have had more of a choice.
We were visiting family in Hawarden but also had a trip to the Blue Planet Aquarium and Cheshire Oaks planned. The hotel is
Overall I felt it offered good value for money.

Convenient hotel and friendly staff. Nice set up.
Convenient hotel and friendly staff. Nice set up. However the accommodation was of a very poor standard. Handy place to stay in terms of location. But I wouldn’t recommend if you have very high standards of cleanliness.
We stayed 2 nights at the village hotel Chester the staff was really nice my kids Messed up the room I spoke to a gentleman called DONN he was so polite and professional and got our room sorted out for us.the hotel was nice and clean kids loved it.will defo go back in the holidays
Hotel guests take second place, gym full of old local people, restaurant is really expensive and always full of football enjoyers, can't really say it's guest focused. No food after 9.30 pm. Overall, room was ok. Just don't expect too much
Facilities in the hotel were great
The bar was comfortable done good food and great selection of beer, which was needed after a hard days work
Breakfast was great and good value for money
Unfortunately the facilities that we paid for were not working which spoiled the occasion for us as we look forward to having our Spa breaks and always make full use of the facilities.
