On a visit to the nearby waterfall, I took a nasty tumble.
Reception provided ice in a sous-vide bag which meant I could ice it all evening.
We are in the bistro in the evenings and the food was very good and well priced.

As the name says.. definitely a queen of B&B. The best property we have stayed in so far. A homey feeling with a touch of 5 star hotel room. The room was spotless and immaculate. A walking dressing and a big toilet. The property has a dining hall which can be used for takeaways. It was only 15mins walk from the high street with many options of nice dine in restaurants and take aways. Would definitely be returning and recommend to our friends and family.

Definitely need a car to get around this area. Not quite the luxury I was looking for. Accomodation and breakfast where I stayed was fairly basic. Quite limited in eating out options too. Managed to walk the Pen y Fan which was the highlight of my stay here.RhondaAustralia - 10Scored 10

Nice town with some lovely places to go for a drink and a bite to eat. Friendly bar with live music at the weekend. Also there is a Wetherspoon. The Zip World was only a 30 min drive away and is fantastic. Great scenery and walks near by.

Only stayed 2 days and then was at an event so not enough time to explore. However on an evening plenty of places to eat and drink. Tesco Extra and range of other shops incl. Saturday street market. Liked the fact it has good public transport links to the Brecon Beacons the town itself looks a bit run down in places like many these days but had everything we needed with lots of things to do nearby. We enjoyed climbing Corn Du, Pen Y Fan, visiting Lyn Cwm Llwch, walking along parts of the Taff Trail, visiting The Brecon Mountain Railway, Cyfarthfa Castle and park as well as things further a field.

Great places to visit. We where only there for two nights. We enjoyed the waterfalls and the steam train ride. There are plenty of places to eat out. We saw lots of cyclists whilst traveling in our car. Found the area very dog friendly which suited us .Allison - 8.0Scored 8.0

Visited the nearby reservoir and Garwnant Visitors Centre -lovely trails and views. Also the Brecon Beacons were within easy reach. We ate at Nant Ddu the first night and shared 3 tasty side dishes between us. Not too far from 3 near locations where my Dad was born and lived in Penwhriceiber, Cefn Pennar and Mountain Ash. We traveled around this beautiful part of the world - the scenery is simply glorious. There is plenty of parking for up to three cars which helps if you are a larger group or family. The garden is really well maintained and the view from the garden is lovely. The property is well laid out with an open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area. There is also a separate lounge for those wanting to relax.

The bed was really comfortable and I had the best nights sleep I've ever had in a hotel and I have stayed in lots. There is ample parking, comfortable bed, great shower and good food. Very impressed the staff even went to the trouble of making me vegetarian gravy. I often travel to Wales and this is the first time I have stayed here. If I come back to this area, this will always be my first choice.

The Welsh Breakfast was very tasty, used good quality local ingredients. We had Scallops to start which were cooked to perfection. My partner had the Cod which was so succulent and full of flavour with a good portion. I had the monkfish which was a little over and the portion of the overall dish was small for the price, but the taste was lush!
