Great hotel. Loved the revolving door. Fortunate to have stayed in a deluxe double sea view twitch balcony. We had an amazing corner room, second floor- had 180• view of sea and 2 private balconies. The bed is more like king size than double which was great as my partner is 6ft 2 so we were wondering about the room. Air-con and lots of amenities. We also ordered wine and chocolates and the wine was kept chilled in ice bucket and was a nice rose, and the chocs were yummy! Cleaning staff accommodating and friendly. Large restaurant room- lots of breakfast options for all which was good. Had cooked breakfast each morning (ours was included with room) and was hot and tasty. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great location- the hotel had lots of parking, was right next to the chain ferry which was easy to use. Near to lots of areas both on foot, public transport and car. Would highly recommend.

Staying on Poole Quay was great.
Staying on Poole Quay was great. A lovely stroll along the waterfront with views to Brownsea Island. You can take a boat trip around the Harbour, alighting at Brownsea as one of the destinations. Poole Quay has cafes, bars, good restaurants, very good fish and chips from a quayside hut. It's a short stroll to Poole Old Town with its shops and further along to main Poole Shopping Centre. Very good local transport links to Bournemouth and suburbs. Infact easy to get anywhere like Swanage, Weymouth, Salisbury etc.

It’s a lovely location.
It’s a lovely location. Lots of really nice places to eat out and plenty of good shops. We didn’t venture too far away, but I would definitely recommend a trip to Brownsea Island. We also visited Sandbanks, Wareham and Corfe Castle, all very close by.

We looked around the harbour and went on a boat trip of the harm=bour and sandbanks which was very interesting. We were due to go the the speedway but this was cancelled due to the weather which was disappointing but the speedway was really easy to find and there looked like there would be ample parking. We also spent time in Bournemouth.
We ate at the Quay café where we had breakfast it was fab

Lovely resort, lots to see and do.
Lovely resort, lots to see and do. Harbour boat trip was well worth it as was to Jurassic Coast cruise. Lots of varied mealtime opportunities as well as the usual fish and chips. Plenty of traditional pubs on offer. I highly recommend a visit to the RNLI college and All Weather Lifeboat Centre where all the lifeboats are made, you can even stay there.

Excellent location for either staying within the area or travelling to interesting places within Dorset. Great local facilities within a short walk for dining, recreation and shopping. Would recommend El Rancho and Da Vinci for food and perhaps the Poole Arms for a quiet, friendly drink. The Jurassic Coast boat trip is one not to be missed with its visit round Old Harry Rocks to Swanage. Buses provide a great service but there are plenty of parking areas available. A day trip to Kingston Lacey (National Trust) was exceptional.
Due to my wife’s terminal cancer we,Went for an apartment rather than a hotel room This was the right decision it was warm and comfortable and my wife felt at home it’s a pity the weather wasn’t better. I would thoroughly recommend the apartments to anybody in my family I am going to a wedding next year in POOLE and the apartments will be my first choice to stay.
The staff were very friendly, in particular Thea who served us breakfast. The lady at the reception desk was also helpful when listening to our concerns about our room. The location was great for going to the beach and visiting Poole, Bournemouth and Sandbanks. Food at the hotel was delicious.
An absolute gem. Staff are friendly and professional, the breakfast was superb, and the room was well appointed and looked out across the water. Not the cheapest place to stay but certainly value for money, and with all profits going to the RNLI it's a great way to support a worthwhile cause.
A pleasant spacious apartment which was very convenient for exploring the surrounding area. A comfortable walk to the beach and with buses to Bournemouth, Poole and Swanage nearby meant we had no need to use the car whilst we were at the property. A thoroughly enjoyable stay at Fair winds.
Sarah's cottage was perfect... just what we needed for a long awaited break.
The property met ALL our requirements !
Very clean all round... the beds and bedding were of above average quality and very comfortable.
It was within easy reach of shops and Poole Quay.
Hope to visit again
The location is fantastic, right on the quayside and near restaurants and pleasure cruises. The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful.
We were looking forward to our stay and we weren't disappointed and are planning on staying again soon.
Good location near to Poole Quay. The hotel parking is very restricted so it’s better to park at a Quay car park - £10.20 online for overnight stay. Room was sizeable and bed comfortable.
Staff very friendly and welcoming and the breakfast was very good
The property is as always very clean the staff are always very nice. Will always choose this hotel whenever I can , I travel to Poole every couple of months and have tried others but prefer this hotel above the others.
Great location next to the beach on one side and views over Poole harbour on the other. Plenty of space in the guest areas on the grounf floor that are not found in more modern hotels. Very friendly and helpfull staff.
Lovely clean property with parking. Nice walk along the coast to parks and Poole. Not huge but perfect for a couple and a dog. Everything provided in the kitchen and bathroom. Owner is delightful and helpful.
The views from the bedroom were stunning. The staff were attentive and friendly. The breakfast was amazing. You can use the facilities at the Sandbanks Hotel and Haven hotel too. All it all a wonderful hotel.
Staff were really friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was lovely and good size. Really good location, 10 minute walk to bus station whilst also being around the corner from Poole quay.
Brilliant location to walk to wayside bars and restaurants and to Poole park.
Good size comfortable room with bath and (easy to use) shower.
Great breakfast - fresh fruit and fry up
The hotel is well placed in the centre of Poole and two minutes from the car park. There was a warm and friendly welcome from both the hotel reception and the guys behind the bar.
Very well located with an extremely comfortable bed, great shower and an exceptionally welcoming and host. I will definitely return if I need somewhere to stay in Poole again.
