It’s a bit shabby chic but it’s spotlessly clean and nothing was an issue. I would go back in a heartbeat.
The Lemonfield Hotel is located on the seafront in Sunderland's Seaburn. Rooms include a TV, tea and coffee-making facilities and a private bathroom. Some rooms have a sea view.

You need to book well in advance if you want to watch the Black Cats at the stadium of light! There is a nice railway connection to nearby Seaham if you want to visit. You can walk along the Wear through a sculpture park and the city centre is excellent for cheap food and drink.

Sunderland was good, but if you want 4* service at 4* prices don't go to The Grand. Only pub food and you make your own bed and carry out own room service. REALLY NOT ON.
Good point, staff lovely and very helpful

Everything the people were generous in there attitude towards visitors there was plenty to do and visit public transport was readily available prices across the board were comparable to normal residential areas unusual for a top tourist attraction
Everything you could wish for, have now stayed three times and will continue to do so.Rooms are excellent, well furnished
and very clean.Only downside at the moment is roadworks outside the hotel which have been apparent since our first visit with no sign of work being finished, fortunately this did not affect our visit, apart from the fact it was a waste booking a sea view room.
Everything about this lovely hotel is excellent
Staff, food, accomadation, the whole job lot is five star!!
Its comfy quiet and immaculate.
Parking secure, and the best night sleep iv had in a while, the staff and management have everything on balance the standards are exceptional, made our first time to sunderland very pleasurable we will BE BACK!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The hotel is in an ideal location. Near to the city centre, bars and restaurants. Very nice and clean, not keen on the industrial ceiling in the reception/bar area, but that is just personal preference. Staff very helpful and friendly. Rooms had everything you need and luckily we had a room facing the square.

This is our second visit to the Roker Hotel. This time, we stayed in one of the Junior Suites and it was amazing. Lovely, spacious, and the huge spa bath was luxurious. Lovely bar and restaurant too, and all in a perfect location.
My Husband was a patient in Sunderland Eye Infirmary, we had to stay over night as we had travelled from Cumbria & your hotel was recommended by the A&E receptionist. Beautiful hotel, friendly staff & fantastic location.
Location and accommodation were fabulous, spotlessly clean and so quiet compared to the normal hustle and bustle you get with Hotels.
If I were to return to Sunderland this will be my new go to destination.
All the staff were exceptional. It is the reason why we keep using the Hilton in Sunderland. They are always friendly, ready to assist with anything and simply go out of their way to make our stay enjoyable.
