Great place we went out of season but there was still enough bars and tavernas open, but many more to open and they looked good also. We also had two dogs with us and we and them were welcome everywhere. Could not fault the friendly people and the hospitality we had at our hotel and bars and tavernas was first rate. It is in strategic position, central to reach beautyful beaches on the east and on the west of the village within 30 min-1 hour by car. It is also a small pictoresque and typical greekvillage with a small harbour, full of shop, markets, restaurants and services, but very quiet as well

A very nice village by the sea. Lots of options for eating out including tavernas at the next beach to the east. Ferry service from the harbour and tour boats for fishing a sightseeing. One of our favourite locations on Crete.

After coming from Paleochora, I’m afraid Agia Galini was a huge disappointment. It looks tired and run down and the beach is less than spectacular. The view of the water from any restaurant is marred by the rather grotesque breakwater. I would advise folks to stay in Spili. A much prettier town.KatherineCanada - 10Scored 10

Huge rooms and balcony (we had apartment 171) , nice swimming pool and deck. The owner/operators, a mother and her daughters, are wonderfully helpful and friendly; the hotel is named after the late father of the family, whose portrait behind the reception desk well suits his name :-) Good parking, though steep at the end of the level street.
