Great place we went out of season but there was still enough bars and tavernas open, but many more to open and they looked good also. We also had two dogs with us and we and them were welcome everywhere. Could not fault the friendly people and the hospitality we had at our hotel and bars and tavernas was first rate. We will definitely be going back.

It is in strategic position, central to reach beautyful beaches on the east and on the west of the village within 30 min-1 hour by car. It is also a small pictoresque and typical greekvillage with a small harbour, full of shop, markets, restaurants and services, but very quiet as well

After coming from Paleochora, I’m afraid Agia Galini was a huge disappointment. It looks tired and run down and the beach is less than spectacular. The view of the water from any restaurant is marred by the rather grotesque breakwater. I would advise folks to stay in Spili. A much prettier town.

Ag. Galini is a beautiful small city, located on the hill.
Ag. Galini is a beautiful small city, located on the hill. Although is a touristic place its quite and peaceful. Everything is near and you don't need the car to move around. The beach is beautiful and the local shops have a great variety. The local cuisine is delicious and the people very friendly.
the location is very good, within walking distance to the local beach and restaurants, The hotel has such a lovely feel to it! really lovely design and details in the room and around the hotel. we stayed in the room with the balcony over looking the sea. the view is so beautiful and lovely to wake up to! brilliant breakfast, yoghurt, meats, cheeses, granola, fruit, cake, orange juice fresh coffee! wonderful staff! so friendly and welcoming! a truly wonderful breakaway! really recommend it!
Excellent view of the bay and beach, looking eastward toward Kokkinos Pirgos. Huge rooms and balcony (we had apartment 171) , nice swimming pool and deck. The owner/operators, a mother and her daughters, are wonderfully helpful and friendly; the hotel is named after the late father of the family, whose portrait behind the reception desk well suits his name :-) Good parking, though steep at the end of the level street.
Breakfast was amazing! Everyday there were different freshly baked sweet and savoury treats. There's a big parking right outside and a lot of restaurants and shops nearby. The hotel itself is clean, has a small fridge, nothing too special, but everything you need. The owners were also very helpful and nice! Going out of their way to find us a bottle opener, for example. Clean and nice pool, though a bit small.
The hotel is great, staff is very kind and professional. The rooms are modern, clean, the bathrooms clean, towels are changed every day. There is a safe, a large balcony. The hotel is in the best position in town, the supermarket is just across the street and of course the restaurants. Agia Galini is a beautiful, small town, so everything is close. The hotel has its own parking which is free
I’ve been to Agia Galini many times and have stayed at the Akteon 3 times. If you’re looking for absolute luxury this isn’t for you. If you want a clean room, comfortable beds, linen and towels changed regularly, a location 2 minutes away from the harbour, bars and restaurants and a lovely host (Eleni) then I can thoroughly recommend it.
The view was wonderful, right above the see. Breakfast was ample and filling. The room was perfect, good spaces and clean. The staff was the best part of our accommodation, always nice helpful and with positive vibe. The location was a good start to visit a lot of difference magical beaches nearby.
Kate and her staff was amazing and very welcoming.
The room was clean and functional.
The location is perfect as it has a parking on front of the hotel (quite rare in Agia Galini) and you can reach the center and the beach in 3 minutes walking.
Definitely recommend it!
Lovely hotel, welcoming staff. Room had a very comfortable bed, proper enclosed shower, fridge and kettle. Best of all there was a good size balcony with fabulous views of the harbour. Good Wi-Fi included in rate. All in all very good value for money!
I had a wonderful time at the hotel. It's very clean and well-maintained, and has everything you need including a great view of the sea. Maria was a wonderful host and she made me feel very welcome. I would stay here when I am in Agia Galini again.
Location is wonderful
very close to Agia Galini
Views are spectacular
We had a nice family villa with our own pool
Stefania the host was super nice, brought us something yummy to eat every day (cake, fruit, Greek yogurt)
We loved our stay here
the location is perfect, 5 minute walk to the beach in one direction, and 5-7 minutes to town in the other direction. the room is simple but fine, kitchenette is well equipped, the balcony and view are amazing!! and the hostess is great!
Beautiful, spacious, clean rooms, with parking space next to the hotel.
Just a few minutes from the restaurants (Agia Galini is built on a slope so a bit of uphill and downhill roads and steps).
Very nice breakfast and very polite hosts!
This was the perfect location for visiting the central south. Near beach and archaeological sites. Amazing views from back balcony, incredibly helpful staff, very good breakfast, and free parking. Great value. Had a wonderful time here.
Room overlooked a cute courtyard. Service was friendly and attentive. Breakfast was tasty. The hotel is located a short walk from all the beaches
The hotel was nice and quiet with an authentic, family feel.
In the city plan, easy parking, nice view from balcony, easy to access, tavernas and cafes are near, also Agia Galini beach. On laite October the weather was very fine, sunny and warm enough.
We loved everything about this place. The owner is exceptionally welcoming and helped us with everything we needed for our stay and ongoing journey in Crete.
