My trip to Guatemala was an exhilarating blend of history,...
My trip to Guatemala was an exhilarating blend of history, culture, and natural wonders. Exploring ancient Mayan ruins like Tikal was inspiring, while colonial cities like Antigua Guatemala charmed with their cobbled streets and vibrant markets. The country's diverse landscapes, from the serene Lake Atitlán to the lush jungles of Semuc Champey, offered endless adventure. Sampling Guatemala's famous cacao and coffee was a delight, and moments of relaxation by Lake Petén Itzá provided the perfect balance to our exciting journey. Guatemala truly exceeded expectations, leaving us with unforgettable memories.
Not less important: People are the kindest.
However, the people need to be more aware of their natural resources and implement campaigns for recycling, improve trash management, reduce plastic consumption everywhere, and decrease their carbon footprint.

Guatemala is a very friendly country, filled with incredible...
Guatemala is a very friendly country, filled with incredible Mayan ruins, exotic birdlife, and stunning volcanoes. We spent time in Flores, Tikal, Antigua, Xela and Lake Atitlan. We also spent several days hiking, including volcano treks and staying with families in homestays, properly experiencing the local communities. Our hike up Acatenango and a night spent watching Volcan de Fuego erupt was one of the most incredible experiences of my life.
We were nervous about the reports of crime but we felt safe the whole time albeit we remained cautious and alert. We travelled on the local buses, and people were always helpful getting us off at the right stop and on to the next correct bus.

Guatemala is just a unique and diverse country, filled with new experiences waiting for you. Unless you take the time to get to know some Guatemalans, it won’t be a complete stay. From Atitlan lake to colonial Antigua, to the coast and up into the Mayan ruins of Tikal, you won’t find a more interesting and friendly country on earth! Traffic is tough in the capital and a bit curvy in the high mountains. Food is always fresh and delicious with beans, rice, corn and fresh fruit always. Check out Santo Domingo in Antigua for the nicest colonial ambience and wedding destination from around the world.

Antigua is a must see when you're in Guatemala.
Antigua is a must see when you're in Guatemala. It's just an hour away, and it is best if you go for a tour guide as they give you a very complete feel of the Guatemalan culture that is mixed of Mayan and Spanish culture
I have stayed several times in Zone 10 in Guatemala City at some of the better-known named hotels. The Inmaculada beat them out easily. The hotel is in a quieter area of Zone 10, still very safe, and about a 5minute walk to the popular Oakland Mall. The staff was friendly and helpful and the room was large and comfortable. There was a small issue with hot water which is not unusual in Guatemala.
The breakfast, which came with my room, was excellent. There were many choices and it was cooked to order. I will definitely stay here again.
The staff was great and this Hotel has everything you need, especially if you are arriving in Guatemala late at the airport this will be you best option, because you can have a lot of variety of restaurants around and it's also super safe but I love the rooms super comfy and also the designs of the bathrooms everything was perfect, I also used the gym and they have the right equipment for a nice workout, they have one of the best balconies with the view to the hole GT City so everything was perfect, I will stay there again for sure.
What an exceptional property it is just immaculately clean and luxurious. Situated in a gated community it is a safe place in Guatemala city. An excellent selection of meals on the menu, can be eaten in the dining room or in the manicured garden, and the food is delicious. The Villa is quiet and extremely comfortable. The staff are super helpful even offering a pickup and delivery from the airport which is 5 minutes away, and they are all very friendly speaking perfect English. The Hostal Villa Toscana is a haven.
The staff here is amazing! Every single person that I encountered was so helpful + friendly. It's super cute, safe and clean, and the food was delicious. It's a nice walk to 2 amazing museums, and such a vibe! I will definitely be back.
Some of the reviews talked about the loud music from a bar close by which has nothing to do with the hotel, but yes you can hear it at night, if its a weekend. It didn't bother me, as it is in the city!
Cindy is a great host. She assisted and supported my trip very well. She arranged an airport pickup, but unfortunately my ride had an issue during the pickup, then immediately she arranged an alternative ride to pick me up from airport. Beyond that, she also assisted me in site seeing Guatemala City as well and then arranged a transportation to my next destination, Antigua. She is so exceptional.
Property offers a great location- is centrally at “zona viva” in zona 10 GUA; offers a restaurant with great food and coffee. Hotel has its own parking lot, which is a plus in the area. Staff at hotel are incredibly nice and are willing to help! Rooms have a refrigerator, cooktop and offers all the necessary for cooking in room, depending of room- it offers a great view of the city.
All the rooms are nice sized apartments with a nice kitchen area. Location is perfect, next to the best dining, shopping and bar area in Guat city. Beautiful hard wood floors and furnishings. Staff polite and helpful. I speak Spanish but i think they all spoke English. There is a balcony in the bedroom and dining area. There is a nice restaurant and the hotel is very quiet.
We had a one night stay in Barcelo while transiting through Guatemala City. The hotel was larger than expected, and comfortable. We were going to visit a local restaurant about 7-10 minutes walk away, but were advised against it on safety grounds. So instead we ate the in their onsite Strikers restaurant which was surprisingly good food and good value.
it is such a cute hotel where you feel so welcome! Fernando and his family are super accommodating— picked us up at the airport even though we had different landing times, breakfast is good. Rooms are big and comfy. the terrace is a nice place to work and chill.
Really recommended if you are staying in Guatemala City.
Clean, well located for our trip early the following morning and friendly staff that spoke excellent English. We were thankful that they were able to organise pick-up at the airport for a few given that we had a late arrival into Guatemala City. Thanks for a great start to our trip.
Super close to the airport, lovely people working at and running the place. Very convenient if you have a short stopover in Guatemala City, transport from and to the airport is included which is awesome. Lionel was super helpful and overall people were very kind.
Location is great! About 10min away from airport. Lots of other hotels around & restaurants. It’s has so many amenities. 2 bathrooms, washer/dryer, full kitchen w/fridge, microwave, dishes. Nice city views. Security to enter the apartment building is great.
Very close to the airport if you are during a transit or a long layover in Guatemala City. The hotel shuttle to the airport was very hard to find and I couldn't call the hotel when arriving. But I took it going back to take my flight.
Staff was very nice. Hotel was very clean. Centrally located in Zona 10. Lots of restaurants are close to hotel. Quiet room with nice city view. Nice pool and pool area. Very comfy bed and pillows.
Hotel was located in Cuidad Cayala which is a very nice and safe area in Guatemala City. The breakfast was good. The stuff was great, specially Vanessa and Danilo.
excellent service, the staff there were amicable and courteous; not to mention our breakfast was delicious. I would your hotel on future trips to Guatemala City.
