They recently renovated their hotel and their rooms are now completely modern. I had a pleasent relaxing stay and really enjoyed their wellness space. They have jacuzzi as well as turkish and finnish sauna. Place to relax, enjoy and have a piece of mind. Staff is excellent, helpfull and at your disposal over WhatsApp 24/7

We managed to change rooms after begging the receptionist as the first room smelled badly of cigarette smoke. Second evening diggers were moving until at least 11pm. Really noisy. That said it was a long way from the city and expensive to commute, but did have a nice restaurant that looked out at the beach from the rear of the hotel.

Podstrana is probably over crowded in high summer, but it was pretty empty in May when people prefer to stay in Split. We found it a perfect balance - 30 minutes to Dioclesian's Palace by bus, with a return costing €2.50 (with the Promet Split App), yet with properties right by the beach. The place is quiet in May (and I assume totally closed in winter), which is good, but for example we had trouble finding anything to eat on Sunday afternoon, with shops closed. People are really friendly and it seems the whole of Dalamatia is relatively safe.AlexanderGermany - 10Scored 10
The main coast road between Split and Dubrovnik (route 8)...
The main coast road between Split and Dubrovnik (route 8) runs through Podstrana so it can be quite busy at times. However there are some really nice places to eat such as Hotel Eden and restaurant Arkada, both of which are mid-price range (but expensive if you have wine), but worth a visit at least once. Less expensive local eateries are about, but we were only there for 3 nights and made the most of it. There are several supermarkets along the main road for groceries etc. Most of the "beach" area appears to be pebbly/rocky, although we did not explore very far from our hotel. There is a main bus route through Podstrana which links it with Split centre. Due to personal circumstances we did not venture very far so are unable to rate other possible attractions in the town.stephenUnited Kingdom - 10Scored 10

The ride to the centre of Split is about 20 minutes in a taxi - we did attempt to walk on day but certainly for the first 3 to 4 km, there was no footpath. Kids can buy ice-cream during all the day. The area is quite crowdy during day. There are some parking places dedicated to the hotel guests. If you want to take a bus to Split, there is a bus stop only 3 min walking from the hotel.

The hot tub is excellent, music streaming and everything. We went to three local restaurants and were pleased with them all, the food was the most consistent quality that we had anywhere in Croatia. We drove to Split and Trogir, parking in Split is a nightmare, so we would take the bus or an uber next time.
