Labuan Bajo is a port harbor with its main attraction, the Komodo Dragon. There are day tours that you can take: Komodo Island with five other stops and Rinca Island with 3 other stops. The harbor master closed Komodo Island for 7 days due to weather but Rinca Island was open. The snorkeling is phenomenal with purple, green coral that look like cauliflower and broccoli florets with many colorful fish. There is no need to book tours ahead. You can walk down to the dock area and book with any of the vendors selling packages. Even the LBJ airport has tours available.
We rented scooters to visit Rangko Cave and nearby Batu Cermin cave. The ride is beautiful and scenic. There is lots of seafood in this port town ranging from sea and lake fish, lobster, crab and squid.
Labuan is worth a three day visit.

I love it here.
I love it here. The people are so friendly, the food is very good, and the scenery is beautiful. You can book many trips, overland or to other islands, and of course see the Komodo dragon.
There are some beautiful beaches too.
I will come back again!

Great area, but the main attraction is the boat trips to visit the surrounding islands, beaches and Komodo dragons. We booked a 2d1n boat trip. We fitted in lots to this short itinerary but a extra night in the boat, as opposed to the land, would have been better.
Seemed more to do at the opposite side of the island but its too far for a day trip.
Great night market down by the port and lots of fresh fish and fruit available for sale.

It’s rare I’m writing reviews. So far, I shared only 5-6. I’m writing only if it was exceptionally amazing experience or a real disaster…
It’s the first time for me to share an extremely negative experience.
When you arrive at hotel, you expect me to feel minimum trust with it
I stayed for 2 nights in this budget hotel. Usually, people traveling to Flores Island to take one of the ‘Komodo island day trips’. They will be picked up very early in the morning (5:30-6:00am). The trip operator gives clear instructions of how to prepare? what to bring? Ect.
Due to the intensity of the day structure, the traveler has to bring a breakfast box (because it will be very long, before food can be in reach).
I asked the hotel manager if they can provide it to me? She confirmed, mentioning it’s a usual procedure in that area.
5:15 I arrived at the reception… no one was there. Neither the breakfast box.
Things can happen, it’s not a big deal…
When returning back from the day trip, I asked reception to shortly talk with the hotel manager, just to understand what happened? The hotel manager refused to communicate and just disappeared until I departed the next day.
I’ve never experienced before such a behavior, specially from a hotel manager…
It raised a big big Red Flag.
Bottom line: I’ll not recommend to arrive in this hotel. Basically, It’s not to be trusted.

Labuan Bajo needs to be careful with how many resorts they are throwing up all over the place. And educate everyone to stay away form the coral and do not touch the sea life. Float and observe. No fins necessary most of the time. You can float and see more and not damage the coral with big clumsy fins.

For those who love nature, I'm really recommend especially to the Island. Everything was soo nature and nice scenery. Spend at least 3 days as to ensure the place must be visited is captured. Local are soo friendly and helpfull. Don't forget to try snorkerlling if thats a trial for anyone.
With its hillside location, overlooking the beautiful Flores Bay, this felt like a very special refuge. Although Flores has a new, very fancy big hotel next to the marina, my husband and I decided Villa Domanik is the still the best choice in Flores. The staff is attentive and very professional, and our room in one of the freestanding bungalows was quiet and beautiful. We also appreciated the free shuttle service into the nearby town. The restaurant is particularly beautiful and the pool was pristine.
Big shoutout to Apoy the bartender lad who made a drinks was so amazing, he served in a good way, keep smiling person and helpful. Your property has a credit to him. As well as many staffs, restaurant manager, security was so kind, and the reception was attentive, they gave us a beautiful brecelet, were amazing. Good location of budget hostel with perfect facilities. Some of the nights live band there, cool place to chill and relax after whole day activities in Labuan Bajo.
During our recent trip to Labuan Bajo with friends, we found this hotel to be a convenient choice.
The hotel's location in Labuan Bajo's tourist area made exploring the town easy, and the staff was friendly and helpful.
The room was clean, with a comfortable bed and pillows, suitable for our needs. The soap provided had a pleasant fragrance.
We also appreciated the hotel's prompt assistance in arranging a pick-up car for us. Overall, it was a satisfactory stay.
Bamboo toothbrushes. Nice aircon. Quiet room. Good nights sleep. Had internal windows only which meant didn’t hear the traffic or the bars or the mosques which is hard to find in Labuan BAjo.
Water to drink available at all times. Hot water showers. Great view from the bar.
Let us leave our luggage for a few days whilst we went to Komodo for when we were staying with them when we came back
Nice and centrally located. Everything is walkable.
Great hotel very central in Labuan Bajo, close to the harbour and restaurants, perfect to go to day tours and as a starting point in Labuan Bajo to tour in Komodo and Flores. The staff was very nice and helpful, they assisted me in getting day tours fit for me as a solo traveller which was much appreciated. Would definitely recommend and stay there again as a good starting point in Labuan Bajo.
Wae molas is a calm and quiet hotel just off the main street of laboan bajo. It's the perfect base for day trips to Komodo and scuba trips etc. We stayed in both the deluxe double with a sea view and the double without a view and it is definitely worth booking the one with a sea view as the room without is a little dark and has no view. Overall a fantastic hotel and great value for money.
The resort is beautiful with a great beach for sunset and nice pool facing the beach, very quiet and great restaurant and facilities, the gym is nice with basic equipment, perfect for relaxing in a calm area near Labuan Bajo. The room was perfect, very comfortable and large (Suite Inerie) with view on nice gardens. I really enjoyed this hotel and would definitely recommend.
The location is great in the middle of the city, close to everywhere. Easy to find food around the hotel just 3 minutes walked to food center. Walking distance to the port if you want to take a tour to the Komodo Island. The sunset view in front of the hostel is really good. The hostel have a small pool is good enough to my children to have fun because he likes swimming.
Place was just what we needed for our 2 night stay in Labuan Bajo. Great location close to the port. They organised the one day Komodo island tour for us and were helpful with any requests especially when the Wifi went down they sorted it out immediately. Room was good I would recommend getting the air conditioned room plenty of space and nice to have the mosquito net.
An excellent choice in Labuan Bajo. A quiet spot outside the center of the city. But a perfect location a block from a large traditional market and also a block from a well-stocked convenience store. And if you want to get into town the hotel staff will drive you and come back later for a pickup. Rooms are simple, but clean and well-maintained.
Well-maintained, cozy guesthouse outside the hustle of Labuan Bajo. They coordinated airport pickup and there's a nice common space for working/relaxing. The restaurant at the hotel had shockingly amazing, homemade pasta; some of the best I've had outside Italy, especially for the price point. Good for a night or two.
The location is amazing, beautiful view! The pool was nice and the property and room were clean! Breakfast was good as well! It’s about 15 min by scooter to the Centre of Labuan Bajo, we could rent a scooter through the hotel manager. The way to the Centre is beautiful as well. Amazing!
Everything! The staff, the big comfy bed, the nice design of the room. I stayed in the small room - quite compact but everything was available and within reach. Very clean, bright and airy - nice hot shower. Recommended for Labuan Bajo
Good location next to the harbour and in the center of Labuan Bajo. All restaurants, bars and tour operators nearby. Thanks to the central location we could manage around and find our perfect Komodo tour!
We rented a scooter in Labuan Bajo to drive here. It was useful to visit waterfalls and cafes. The breakfast and dinners were simple but delicious. Clean facilities. Good location.
Practical hotel to stay at Labuan Bajo for 1 night, before you go off to stay at Phinisi boat. It's decent and comfortable, walking distance to the main street.
