The hotel was in a great location, close to the main square and important sites of interest. The room was comfortable and a good size. Breakfast was a highlight with a large choose of food to cater to all tastes. The staff were polite and helpful with suggestions and happily booked a taxi for an arranged time at the end of my stay.

You really haven't seen Italy until you've seen Gubbio, it...
You really haven't seen Italy until you've seen Gubbio, it is the supreme example of a medieval Italian hill city, and bigger than most. The Relais Ducale's sister restaurants, the Lupo and the Bosone Garden, are fairly expensive, but superb. The Lupo is our special favourite with exemplary Umbrian food often featuring the famous black truffles, and a wonderful wine list which is not always expensive. The city is very popular with day trippers and gets very crowded and full of traffic in the narrow streets. This is especially true on market days when many streets are closed. Also, beware of fines for parking or even driving in the wrong places! Make sure you plan your parking carefully and be prepared to have Plans A, B & C for that. It's hilly, although there are two useful public lifts between different levels. A fascinating location whose only drawbacks are inherent in its ancient history.

Beautiful city I would have liked to stay more and come back for the 7th of December when the big Christmas tree on the mountain will be illuminated. I would like to see as well the "Corsa dei Ceri" in May.

Interesting old town. Compact tourist town.
Interesting old town. Compact tourist town. Tour buses coming in during the day. Many restaurants serving good to terrible food. The price is about the same at all of them, 40-60 euros a couple. Hiking up Mt. Ingino is fun. the Funivia is really fun. You can see eveything in three days. Parking is difficult. The free parking spots were always gone. We got a 1 week parking pass from the parking machine for 20 euros at the Funivia just outside the SE wall. Well worth it. About a 15 minute walk to our place. Without a car, the supermarkets are about a 30 minute walk. We came end of Sept. The tourists dropped but the restaurants started to close or had odd hours.

Gubbio in Perugia is a charming and picturesque town that left us truly captivated. The historical center is a treasure trove of ancient architecture, narrow cobblestone streets, and stunning views. The town's rich history and culture are evident at every turn, making it a must-visit destination.
One thing to note is that exploring the historical center of Gubbio requires a good level of fitness. The town is situated on hilly terrain, with steep inclines and descents throughout. Constantly walking up and downhill can be quite challenging, so it's essential to come prepared with sturdy and comfortable shoes. However, the effort is well worth it as you are rewarded with breathtaking vistas and hidden gems around every corner.
Despite the physical demands, we found the experience of navigating the town's winding streets to be exhilarating. The ambiance of Gubbio is simply enchanting, with its medieval architecture and quaint squares. We enjoyed wandering through the shops, stopping at charming cafes, and immersing ourselves in the vibrant local culture.
The people of Gubbio were warm and welcoming, adding to the overall positive experience. We encountered friendly locals who were eager to share stories about their town and offer recommendations for places to visit. The sense of community and pride in their heritage was palpable, making us feel like part of something special.
In summary, Gubbio is a gem of a town with a rich historical heritage and a unique atmosphere. While it requires a certain level of fitness to explore the steep streets, the beauty and authenticity of Gubbio make it a destination well worth the visit. Just remember to bring your best walking shoes and prepare to be enchanted by this remarkable town.

Casa Christina is in easy walking distance of all the key...
Casa Christina is in easy walking distance of all the key sites in Gubbio and in one of the most beautiful streets. It's a very warm, clean and comfortable house with all the amenities you'd expect in a home rather than a holiday property. Christina met us with the key and came armed with fresh fruit, milk and butter to add to the amazing selection of cakes, cookies, crackers and croisants that were already laid out waiting. Gubbio is a perfect medieval town, spotlessly clean and well-kept with beautiful churches and friendly people who clearly take great pride in where they live.
Valeria brought delicious breakfasts to our room to prepare. We were delayed and didn’t arrive until very late at night. She very graciously stayed up for us. During the week we had a flat tire. She helped us with the tow truck and taxi into town. She was our angel. We would have been lost without her. We loved the donkeys, roosters, Sweet cats dogs. Wonderful. And Gubbio is a wonderful town to explore. So beautiful. Also a good grocery store nearby. If you like peace and quiet away from city traffic this is your place.
The location of Villa Mozart is fantastic! A quest rural area, but not far from Gubbio allowed us to rest and relax and still be able to visit as much as we wanted without too much driving. The hosts are wonderful, welcoming, helpful and warm (we even received freshly harvested plums from Signora's own orchard!). The rooms and bathroom were extremely clean and kitchen well-equipped. Sadly, we had to cut our stay short due to family emergency, but we will surely come back to Villa Mozart during our next stay.
There are no words to express how surprised we were athe hotel! The staff from front desk, housekeeping, spa, and restaurant staff were so on top of everything. Always made themselves at your disposal. The hotel itself was absolutely stunning especially the art was a true surprise. The creativity of the pool and outdoor space was stellar! Great location to tour Umbria and with the front desk always giving fantastic recommendations it made the touring so easy! Even where to park in the various cities!
The place is a true gem! the very. Huge, beautifully appointed house in the middle of Gubbio historical center with a private garage. You cannot do any better! Great beds, very clean. And the garden is something out of a dream!
Warm and personable host Elena came every morning to make breakfast for us.
This is absolutely one of a kind house for vacation in Umbria!
And the price is very reasonable
The accommodation is amazing! The staff are very friendly, always available to everyone. The property is very tidy and comprises several buildings, so you feel like you are in a small village. Due to the location you have an amazing view over the surrounding landscape.
The food and ambiance in the evening is some of the most beautiful we have seen so far.
A hidden gem in this part of Italy, for sure!
The place is very central. You can reach everything on foot. The room is, as it was in the photo, clean and nice. The only flaw is that the bath tub doesn't have a shower curtain, so when you take a shower it gets wet on the floor. The owner of the place is very kind. I will surely reccomend it to all who wants to visit Gubbio, & we'll stay again here if we'll come back to Gubbio.
No breakfast. Location was excellent for access to highway and to Gubbio town. Also less than one hours drive from Assisi, Perugia,Urbino.Very quiet at night. Perfect for a sight seeing trip which is what we did. Mr Castelli who lives on the property is very conscientous host . Initially a problem with the heating which he fixed immediately at 730 am.
This animal friendly hotel has a year-round swimming pool with table service, an interesting looking menu, and warm and welcoming staff. It is located on a quiet country lane very near the city of Gubbio, and has warm and welcoming staff. I highly recommend it to someone who wants a peaceful country sanctuary when your day is over!
We were so happy and pleasantly surprise to see that we would be staying in Gubbio's old part of the town. The accommodation is just what one person needs for a weekend or longer stay in this beautiful part of Umbria. We recommend. The owner (although never seen each others) is kind and helpful. Thank you!
Mami house is a very quaint one-room home located a five minute walk from the Piazza Grande and that the area has to offer. There is a free parking garage located about 200 yards from the property. Breakfast was simple continental and more than adequate to fuel a day of walking the streets of Gubbio.
Good location, close to the old town, with parking included. Quiet room with good beds and a clean bathroom. The price is very competitive, it also includes a simple breakfast. All in all, it is a good hotel, offering excellent value for the money. I would certainly stay there again.
We enjoyed our stay in this cool and comfortable house which is in an excellent location. Easy walking distance into Gubbio and backing onto the park which contains the ruins of the Roman Theatre. The bed was very comfortable. Parking was also easy, alongside the house.
Apartment located in the oldest, not busy part of Gubbio, even though public parking free of charge is close by.
Charming and helpful host Lucia is a perfect guide, to give welcoming tour of the house, and beautiful small town as well as surrounding areas.
Absolutely stunning hotel, can’t be beat for beauty or impressiveness. Our room and bathroom were wonderful. Dinner room was also beautiful. Staff were mostly friendly and a little kooky, not as stuffy as in some similar hotels
Located on a hilltop over looking Gubbio, about a 15 drive from the centre, peaceful. Well sign posted. Andrea was very helpful with providing us with everything we needed and accommodating in allowing us to arrive early.
this was the second time I chose hotel Tre Ceri, it didn’t disappoint this time neither. great location, nice and helpful staff. the breakfast is nice, and the room is tidy and I love the colors of the bed.
- excellent cakes for breakfast
- in the very heart of the magnificent medieval town of Gubbio
- near the stream so wonderful water sound as soon as you open your window
- very friendly staff
Elena was a lovely host and nothing was too much trouble for her. The breakfast was good. The apartment was in the centre of Gubbio and it was easy to reach all of the sites of interest.
The hotel was not in a touristy area, this a welcome change from Rome, Venice, etc. The facilities were great, and our room was the size we are accustomed to in North America.
