The staff was impeccable! Mario greeted us and was very accommodating, he helped us with directions, how to get around, called for luggage porter and even checked on tickets for the Blue Grotto. The breakfast buffet was a huge spread, so we had dinner at the hotel both nights with live music! Highly recommend the filet and eggplant parm fabulous! The wait staff is fantastic, from David, Fredrica, Jonathan and our Sommelier. We loved having wine on the outdoor restaurant patio and balcony of our room, the view was incredible and gorgeous at night with twinkling lights. Mario upgraded our room because not many people this time of year, the room and the view was phenomenal, it was everything you imagine Amalfi coast to be!

The beauty of the town is unreal, but it is built on steep hillsides which means that narrow roads and switch backs are not recommended for the unseasoned driver not used to such terrain. If you're not in shape when you get there, you will be by time you leave. There are many, many, many steps and paths around the town. It's very picturesque but also very demanding physically. Probably not the best town for the elderly or those with physical challenges. Taxi's are the best mode of transportation though there is a good local bus system however, busses only come by hourly, and because of the congrestion they are rarely on time.

One of the most stunning places I've ever visited.
One of the most stunning places I've ever visited. Relatively unspoilt as it's difficult to reach and very expensive. Felt like an exclusive holiday location. Colourful buildings springing out of the hills, beautiful climate and STUNNING flora and fauna. All in all, one feels like one has been dropped into paradise on earth. Visiting in April is to be recommended as it feels neither too hot nor too crowded. I can't sing its praises enough. Travelling can be tricky if you have older people in your party - almost every route around the town involves steep steps. Spoilt for choice in terms of eating - we didn't have a bad meal. Shout out to Il Capitano (higher end) and Il Fornillo (slightly more reasonably priced). Recommend day trips to Pompeii and Vesuvius, the Amalfi coast (from Positano to Maiori), boat trip to Capri and Anacapri, and Sorrento.

Positano is absolutely amazing, but be ready to walk a lot...
Positano is absolutely amazing, but be ready to walk a lot of stairs, on very very steep trails. Respectfully, this place is not ideal for unfit people. Depending if you’re staying close the beach or on the upper side of the city, you will either have to take the stairs with your luggage or get a taxi, which is not cheap there.
There are a lot of good restaurants to choose from, and also very affordable, even though the city is rated to be quite expensive.
The beach is relatively small, so don’t expect to find a spot to lay down on the sand if you’re travelling during the summer season. As we visited in march, the weather was 10-18 degrees Celsius, which was prefect, also we avoided the crowds and the Mediterranean summer heat of June-August.

Is picturesque.
Is picturesque. Very hilly so if you have mobility problems would be best avoided. It is expensive even for little things like snacks I found it financially beneficial to have a proper meal. Other than that an enjoyable place to visit.

The Amalfi Coast is a beautiful destination to visit in...
The Amalfi Coast is a beautiful destination to visit in Italy. Originally, when booking this location, I thought the area was sold out-it was hard to find accommodations. But once we arrived we learned that the entire Amalfi Coast pretty much goes silent from November to late March. The area has limited restaurants open as well as hotels. So we were lucky we found a home in which to stay. Use the bus SITA to buy a trip to Amalfi to spend 4-5 hours. Well worth the 3euro cost. Other locations available too on this bus line. Sorrento can be visited as well using the public transportation. The winding roads leading from Sorrento to Positano and then to Amalfi will leave you spell bound. Sharp drops, scenic ocean views and the lovely speckle of homes up and down these cliffs is just breath taking. Highly recommend a visit to the area.
Beautiful property, comfortable room, wonderful balcony overlooking the sea. This was one of our favorite hotels on our trip to Italy. The breakfast delivered to our room to enjoy on the balcony each morning was a highlight. Steps down to Arienzo beach club made it so convenient to spend time on the beach. Outside of the main busy area of Positano while still possible to walk down to restaurants and shops. Christian was very attentive and helped with anything we needed. Definitely recommend staying here!
The Location was perfect providing the best view.
We always enjoyed the walk down to the beach, and the morning view of Positano from room's balcony.
We had our cat with us, the staff was familiar in how to deal with the cat, offering to clean the room in unusual times, when we take the cat out with us, so the cat doesn't get afraid or run away.
The staff in all were always ready to help and friendly.
We enjoyed the trip as a whole, surely we will be back in Positano, and for sure in the same Hotel.
The Hotel is right above Fornillo beach, which is a short, lovely walk from the main part of Positano. This means you get to escape the crowds of Positano - which are ridiculous during the day with all the boat tours. Each apartment has a lovely terrace so you can sit and enjoy the 180 view of the beach. It is best reached by Ferry as the nearest public car parking is a good 10 min walk down (and up) steep stairs. If you come by car, then only take with you a small bag of necessaries!
Best location in Positano, close to the bus stop so you can easily use the busses to go everywhere on the Amalfi coast. Easy to walk in to the town and the two beaches. At night you can take a bus to get back up right outside the hotel. The breakfast was good and big. Personal are outstanding and really helpful. The balcony has a stunning view and you get your breakfast delivered to your room. Would recommend everyone to stay at Villa Palumbo.
Booked a very last minute room in this amazing hotel. The staff is super friendly and they even gave me an upgrade the moment I arrived. They were overall super helpful with all my wishes and requests. I honestly think it is on the best location of Positano, next to the church and super central. The view is amazing and the rooms are super clean and nicely decorated. I would definitely come back and would recommend this to everyone!
The staff are the best!! From the boys and girls in reception, the cafe and house keeping staff - everyone there were so warm and welcoming. Helped a lot with our holiday arrangements and anything else that we asked. They really made me and my boy feel like home and made the best experience for our first time in Positano. I would totally go back and choose to stay in this hotel again because of these lovely people:)
Hotel Poseidon has a prime location in the heart of Positano, offering stunning views of the Amalfi Coast and easy access to the beach, shops, and restaurants. The hotel has a beautiful outdoor swimming pool with sun loungers and umbrellas. The staff at Hotel Poseidon are friendly, professional, and attentive, providing personalized service and helpful recommendations for activities and restaurants in the area.
The outdoor space was spectacular! We loved the views from the multiple(!) and the lovely small pool! We had so much room for our family group of six with 3 full bathrooms and 4 good sized and clean bedrooms - all with views of the sea and Positano. The villa is located on the property of the Hotel L’Agavi which is lovely with a funicular to take you up and down the hill and use of the beach club.
The breakfasts were superb. Warm Croissants. Fresh local fruit. Cappuccino. Expresso. Yogurt. And a large choice of other options. Delivered to our room at our choice of time and eaten on an outdoor terrazzo overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea and an incredible view of Positano. Outstanding customer service including arranging for a massage in our room and for our luggage to get to the ferry. 5 Stars!
the setting is breath-taking. the hotel is very traditional with lots of character, the staff are superb and always happy to help with anything. there are amazing views from anywhere, the restaurants for all of breakfast, lunch and dinner are some of the best in positano. highly recommend dinner at Zass! if you didn't want to leave the hotel, you would not have to and still have a great time.
This is the most beautiful place to stay. We got married here and it was so wonderful to go back and visit. The villa is stunning, every detail is so special and the views are the best in Positano. The food is also the best we have ever had in Italy thanks to Chef Nick! Everything is wonderful I could not recommend it more.
I love that the owner was so lovely and friendly. I love that the place was clean, and you have extra snacks and coffee. It is like staying in a 4-star hotel! Best service! And the view!!!!! The view was magical! I think it is the best place in Positano. It's away from the crowds but also near good restaurants and bars!
Location like all properties in Positano down steps & up hills - an idea when booking confirmed to tell visitors best way to reach hotel - I got these directions but only after I particularly asked by mail
The view from the balcony was spectracular. Maybe the best view in Positano. The reception personel was top. The hotel is just 10 minutes walk from the shops and the beach.
