Welcoming, very polite and caring staff, which answered all the questions before they were asked both after our arrival as well at the breakfast and the restaurant. Room number 4 was well designed and equipped with a sofa and a seating area, good variety of TV channels. An excellent and rather quiet location just a footstep from a lake Aluksne and bunch of sightseeing spots. Individually served breakfast, which varied from day to day and also incuded dish of hot eggs and pancakes made right for you while you drink a coffee. Tasty food at the restaurant on the first floor.

The hotel was something you do not expect in a remote town. Really a fantastic, and stylish place. We had breakfast, and it was really good, too.

Basically everything was better than expected - the location is great, the apartment is fresh and tidy, equipped with all the necessary things both in the kitchen and shower. So I strongly recommend this place.

When you get inside the room, the boat is already in front of you, which was a quite nice look. The sleeping place is on the second floor. I really enjoyed the romantic atmosphere that this house provided - starting from the lights (only with batteries) as no electricity was available (BUT it is totally okay to stay one night without it!) and the way that you can hear the water splashing a bit when you're going to sleep. 🙂 Drinking water is provided, all the cutlery as well for a morning coffee on the lake, portable gas stove, and overall, the place is easily accessible by car and not that far from the main attractions. Also - there are many rooms near to each other, yet you are located as far from each other as possible, so you can definitely enjoy the get-away.

Host was so nice and helpful, and check-out system was very convenient! The views were amazing and the place was one of the coziest I have ever stayed in. I actually enjoyed that there was no electricity for an unplugged stay where I could enjoy the moment. It never got too hot, because the water cooled the downstairs room very well. I will no doubt choose this place when I come to Alūksne again! :)
