We loved the warm, friendly Seychellois welcome on arrival.

We loved the warm, friendly Seychellois welcome on arrival. The island is absolutely stunning, from the wild jungle and huge granite mountains to the pristine beaches and indescribably blue sea. The driving is crazy - the roads are not straight with lots of steep curves and bends, so drive carefully if you hire a car to explore the island, which is highly recommended. There are lots of hidden gems - we ate at Maria's Rock which was a fabulous experience, and we highly recommend eating at the Boat House on Beau Vallon beach and the Green House in Au Cap. Buy freshly caught fish from the fish sellers on the side of the road and cook your own - it is cheap and delicious. Food in general, whether you are eating out or buying from one of the local corner grocery stores, is very pricey, so beware! Visit the Botanical Gardens and grab a delicious pastry and ice cream from the Polish owned bakery just across the road and down from the Botanical Gardens entrance. Definitely visit the Mission Ruins in Venn's Town in the Morne Seychellois National Park, the views are breathtaking. Also visit the beach at Anse Soleil for the best sunsets.

I really enjoyed Praslin - I had stayed 6 days in Praslin and 5 in Mahe. If I ever come back (i would love too) i would stay only one day in Mahe and the rest in Praslin. I brought my own coffee, the supermarkers are available but tehy had only nescafe, the available products are imported and expensive compare to Europe(butter, bear, bread and so one). It worth renting a car right from teh boat - if you are nor tired (They drive on the left side !!). Taxi is extremelly expensive and not available - for teh New Year we call two number , did not get any answer so we went using the renting car). You need a car and in my opion public transportation is not a solution. You can pay with car almost everywhere except for taxi (I used Revolut) so you do not need a lot of cash in rupees. Some restaurant they charge you also for service on the bill 5% or 10%. Best Beach Four Season Good restaurant Green House Le duc - Praslin Le repaire- La digue

We hired cars for our holiday group and went shopping, sight seeing of Victoria city and the whole Mahe island and out evenings to restaurants and entertainment. We also did the glass bottom boat full day trip and were pleasantly surprised on this trip to meet his Excellency the State President and First Lady of Seychelles also spending relaxing time at the Beach House on one of the islands, where this lovely couple so graciously addressed the visitors to the island and so kindly gave our group from South Africa audience and a photo shoot opportunity that was the highlight of our visit to Seychelles.

Beautiful island with a little for every taste: amazing...

Beautiful island with a little for every taste: amazing beaches (for families, adults and snorkelling), great scuba diving, water activities and excursions, amazing nature trails, good choice of restaurants. If you want to explore the island car rental (40/50 €/day)is a must as public transport is limited (waiting time can be 30/40 mins - 7SR each ride). If you want to explore the best beaches or plantations/waterfalls/attractions consider a car.

Mahe is great! I loved it so much.

Mahe is great! I loved it so much. Firstly the Ocean for sure, with lots of beaches along the costs. There's plenty of activities to do like snorkeling, diving, surfing, kayaking, hiking, etc. Due to Covid-19 they have some restrictions of course but still you can have a great time there. Restaurants and bars are open until 10 pm, but some of them close earlier to allow their staff to get homes before curfew. Shops, minimarkets close at 7 pm. Wearing of masks is mandatory in public places, and they register your name country and temperature at the entrance in every restaurant, café, shop, etc. to have a track of visitors. To get around you can either rent a car or use a taxi, public buses are not allowed for tourists now because of COVID-19. Overall the place is very safe. People are super welcoming, helpful, friendly and always smiling. There's a great choice of what to eat depends on your personal taste but most popular is fish and seafood of course. Just go there, relax by the beach, get some walk around. In Mahe you forget about your everyday problems and routines, you are just enjoying being in the moment.

    Everything is good except Food.

Everything is good except Food. Mahe is very touristic and in most places prices for food are too expensive comparing to what you can get on Praslin or La Digue. Sometimes you pay 2x but get the same or even smaller portions and lower quality in restaurants than on other islands.

The villa is beautiful and the plunge pool is really a cherry on top of cake. Angelic at the reception was very helpful and other staff too. The room is nicely decorated and the kitchen is well equipped. The quality of wifi was very good which is unusual for Seychelles. The food delivery from Perry’s grill recommended in the hotel brochure was excellent, delicious and inexpensive. But factor in at least two hours from the order time.

The house is new. It's decorated very nicely and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. It's worth mentioning, that it is better than the pictures. The staff is very polite and always at hand if you need anything. It's perfectly clean and they also clean during your stay. We loved the pool and the views. We definitely recommend staying here and if we ever come back to Seychelles, we will definitely rebook.

Relatively new hotel, one of the higher-end ones on the main Mahe islands. Great breakfast selection, friendly staff, beautiful and spacious rooms, all amenities you need, lovely beach bar and private setting. Yes you need to cross a road to get to the beach and yes there could always be more of options at breakfast, but honestly it really is not as bad as some people commented and we had an amazing time!

The Owners of Creole Cottage Homestay made me feel home and very welcome. This is a simple but cosy apartament, just ca 17-20 minutes walk from the AirPort - therefore for me it was a perfect place to stay for the first night in Seychelles. you can reach it walking from the AirPort - uphill and downhill, the Google Maps will help 🙂. you can chill in a small Garden with beautiful orchids.

    - The workers in the reception were great! they helped us get a car, organize our days at Mahe and they even let us stay at the pool after we checked out before our flight back. - The view from the rooms is outstanding! - The hotel is really small, so it is quiet and the pool is almost private. - The room is well designed and the kitchen has everything you need.

Great breakfast, friendly staff, and smart small hotel not far from the airport and walking distance to Eden island and Leo’s food bus takeaway. We were able to use the hotel’s facilities for the day and go over to the island resort despite checking out of our room and waiting for an evening flight. Thank you!

We had a wonderful stay at the apartments on top of Jimmy’s house. He is such a kind person that really elevated our stay in the Seychelles. The food he can cook for you is also amazing for a very fair price! If you don’t mind a appartement at a higher altitude we would definitely recommend staying here.
