This 5-star hotel is located in the Zocalo, the main plaza at the city centre in Mexico City. Not sure what we were expecting, but both my wife and I did not remember we reserved three nights in a 5 start hotel! The lobby is beautiful and champagne on arrival. Very attentive, accommodating, and helpful staff. A big spacious room. And right on the Zocalo, but main entrance is to a pedestrian only street which is very nice.

Ideally set in the Centro Historico of Mexico City, Mumedi Design Hotel offers air-conditioned rooms, a bar and a shared lounge. This is one of the best hotel experiences I've had. The people who designed the room thought of everything. Everything I needed was there in the room. The staff was wonderful. Emanuel was friendly and welcoming. Someone was always ready to help. They made sure I had plenty of filtered water to drink so I never had to buy bottles at the store. Location was ideal - just steps away from the Zocalo, yet the room was a calm oasis of quiet. I was also reassured by how safe the area around the hotel is, even at night.

Rooms were cheaper than hostels which gives this property an amazing value. Rooms are small but spacious. Provided free breakfast is okay. I loved the fact that I didn't have to ring the doorbell to get it, the reception door is always open. Location is great as well.
