Located 29 km from Glasgow Botanic Gardens, The Loch Lomond Guesthouse offers accommodation with a patio, as well as a shared lounge. Jimmy cooked us a top notch Scottish breakfast and all the ingredients were superb. Served swiftly and without fuss. The weather was very hot which is always a concern. We had accidentally chosen a property with outdoor covered seating which was so convenient and comfortable. The fact that the main entrance door was opposite these patio doors meant we could have a breeze through the room and didn't need the fan provided. Car parking was a few steps from the entrance to the four guest rooms - the benefit being that you never read other vehicles. The complex is close to the busy main road, so sitting outside you could hear the traffic noise, but the high quality windows meant there was zero sound indoors. The standard of bathroom fittings and facilities in the room were extremely good - for once a shower that was easy to understand! It was just a short walk to the banks of Loch Lomond and the private jetty - a lovely quiet spot.

On the east shore of Loch Lomond, this award-winning family-run country inn is constructed from locally quarried slate and offers a perfect tranquil location for a romantic or relaxing break. This inn is surprisingly managed by capable young people. The place has an historical yet vibrant beat. The staff courtesy impressed me. Best points: position near trekking paths, the cottages stand near a great pub, breakfast was really good. You can have all you desire in a short distance from your room (there's even a grocery). My husband particularly liked their coffee and soap.

The Clachan Inn has a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Drymen. Located around 22 km from Lake of Menteith, the inn with free WiFi is also 26 km away from Glasgow Botanic Gardens. The staff is very nice, even that the bar was busy, they took care of our check-in quickly. The room is big enough, the shower was comfortable and clean. The Clanchan bar is very nice to sit in and closes early enough, so we had a quite night.

Offering garden views, Forty Winks Loch Lomond is an accommodation situated in Balloch, 27 km from Glasgow Botanic Gardens and 28 km from Mugdock Country Park. Very well designed. Rhonda is amazing. She gives you the feeling you are the most important person. Convenient, close to everything. She provided us with good recommendations. The Sweeney boat tours are right across the street. The travel information building for Loch Lomond is also right across the street.
