Center Parcs Le Lac d’Ailette
Chamouille
With views of the lake, Center Parcs Le Lac d’Ailette is located in Aisne and offers cottages with furnished terraces. The on-site water park, Aqua Mundo was partially renovated in 2018 and boasts water slides, whirlpool baths, waterfalls, a wave pool, as well as an outdoor infinity pool and a variety of aquatic activities as well as shops and interactive information screens.

The location is beautiful right on a gorgeous lake absolutely full to the brim with wildlife such as swans, ducks, heron, beavers, and more. The water park is awesome with fun slides for different ages, wave machine, lazy river, rapid river, and a play area with slides and another for very little children. The kids loved it in there. They also loved the indoor golf, the Jeep safari and the Pony rides. There were a few outdoor play structures and the beach is also very nice. The food at the restaurants was good but we ate at the lodge more often for convenience and frankly greater choice from home cooking.
Ferme Du Chateau

This residence is located in a small village, 10 minutes from Laon in the Picardie region. It offers soundproofed rooms, a spa centre and a heated indoor pool.
Guests can relax in the Chateau’s lounge equipped with a TV. Free evening entertainment is available in the resort during some evenings from July to August and a kids' club is provided on site.

It was a pity that it was not summer as it has great views over a lake and an outdoor swimming pool. We had the 3 course menu in the restaurant which was good and reasonably priced. Our room was spacious, clean bathroom with a nice powerful shower and had a cosy little balcony with lake view. The staff were helpful and the evening meal very enjoyable with views over the lake. The swimming pool was well appreciated after a six hour drive and a secure area was provided for the mountain bikes overnight. For a stopover in Northern France it was worth the 20km drive off the autoroute.
