Great location under the Citadel on the edge of the town. Very easy access into their car park, albeit the spaces are tight for a large car. Very easy walking distance to all the main sights and all the many local restaurants in the town. No bar/restaurant there but they do an excellent buffet breakfast. All very friendly helpful staff have stayed before and would happily stay again.

The Best Western Citadelle is located in the historic city center of Besançon, a 5-minute walk from the Doubs River and the Citadelle. Free Wi-Fi is available in the rooms. The air-conditioned rooms feature a television with Canal+ channels. The private bathroom is equipped with solar-heated water. Additionally, the establishment offers rooms adapted for guests with reduced mobility. The hotel serves breakfast every morning for an additional fee. You can enjoy it in your room or as a buffet in the dining room. Room service is also available. The small parking area, which includes 10 spaces, is only accessible by reservation for a supplementary fee of 15 EUR per space.
