Our newly converted 18th century barn has 3 en-suite bedrooms (two double and one twin) with underfloor heating, exposed beams and a spacious, modern feel. Truly, an unforgettable experience. The skies go dark at night, the sheep are grazing quietly and the beck flows gently down off the fells above the village .... aaaah!
We're both teachers with 2 older children, a dog & 3 cats. We'd love to share our barn with you and think you'll love the peaceful atmosphere.
The village of Barbon, boasting a 17th century pub and a village shop, remains one of most desirable destinations in the country. Less than an hour from the most stunning landscapes, yet only 15 minutes from the M6, with beautiful views of the fields and fells, this offers you the perfect destination. Described by the Sunday Times 50 Best Villages in the UK as "Perfectly positioned in the sweetest of sweet spots between the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales" Barbon is a wonderfully peaceful, traditional Cumbrian village with a superb Inn, an amazing deli-café with a vibrant selection of local produce, wines and cheeses and a vibrant village hall for events.
