This large unit includes a dining area, lounge with a sleeper couch, bedroom, bathroom and fully equipped kitchen. -A spacious self-catering unit with exterior entrance. This spacious unit includes a bedroom, bathroom, dining- and lounge area and fully equipped kitchen. -A luxury large en-suite room is located in the spacious main house, with access to the shared lounge. All units have comfortable queen size beds with 200 thread count Egyptian Cotton linen, towels, TV, Wi-Fi, table and chairs, and a Coffee/Tea Tray. Iron and ironing board are available with a laundry and dry-cleaners close by in Grant Avenue.

During 2019, Charles established the first Charlie’s Spot in Norwood, Johannesburg which, from the onset, proved to be popular with guests requiring accommodation that is comfortable, safe and secure in a homely atmosphere and in close proximity to shops, malls and restaurants. Says Charles: ‘As I have been working my entire life, the passive life of retirement seems like the opposite of freedom. Sitting around just isn't my thing. I couldn't think of anything else to do and had nothing to work on. I then started a venture in hospitality, offering a homely and sophisticated overnight accommodation experience. I set up Charlie's Spot in Norwood, ideally located off Grant Avenue, known for its many restaurants, fast food outlets and various shops. A valuable factor is meeting fascinating people from all over South Africa and the world and in doing so, have become friends with many of our guests.’
