Fantastic location, really beautiful and scenic. We got upgraded to a family room on the 4th floor with stunning views over The Valley. Very clean. Comfortable beds and bed linen. Shower was very hot. Staff really friendly.

The Alpenblick hotel is situated about 600 metres from the centre of Grindelwald, right at the ski slope and a bus stop, and offers nice rooms and tasty food.

In the restaurant and on the sunny terrace guests can select from fresh hot sandwiches, steaks, salads and desserts. Cheese fondue is available as well.

It was a beautiful old building kept very clean, staff was always very nice. I got a room upgrade which was so unexpected and wow for me. Breakfast was also good. Bus stop was directly outside the property and they give a bus pass which gives free bus access inside Grindelwald. And of course the location is perfect because its location a couple stops away from the bahnhof which is usually noisy and crowded. They were helpful right from beginning answering my concerns and trying to help in every possible way. Their service was just superb. I would definitely stay with them if I visit Grindelwald again.

Located next to the First gondola lift in central Grindelwald, Hotel Alte Post offers a small spa section and a traditional restaurant. All rooms have a balcony with mountain views.

Free Wi-Fi and cable TV are standard room facilities. All rooms have a bathroom, work desk and traditional pinewood furniture.

Breakfast was delicious, complete with fruits, a selection of yoghurt, delicious breads. The view from the balcony is perfect, with a full view of the Eiger and the canyon. We could see the entrance to the Firstbahn from the breakfast room. The staff was amazing, Helena in particular was very helpful. The decoration is simple and elegant, especially the style on the sheets, curtains, and towels. There are some skulls in the walls from hunted animals which may be creepy or sad to some.

The view, how quiet everything was around us. Everything is within 5 minutes by car, the direct access to the station was definitely a surprise, during the busy ski season this place is definitely a winner. Once we got there we received access to an amazing web portal for the chalet, everything we wanted to find was right there, there's so much information, that I would have preferred to get it a few days in advance.

The staff were awesome. We were there over Easter and one staff memeber took our son TJ by the hand to walk him around the easter egg hunt. She also took him by the hand to breakfast and dinner a couple times and he loved it (he is 5). The location is perfect. Literally right across the street from the Gondola to First Cliff Walk and Skiing. The breakfast was soo good and the coffee was on point!

Access to the car park was a bit of a challenge, a very narrow steep lane by the side of the building. But once parked, the hotel, room, facilities and dinning exceeded all of our expectations. Diana, the receptionist for the Spa area was friendly warm and informative and helped with all of our directions and local information. The booking in and out was seamless, the staff were brilliant. Our room was a suite with balcony and was more comfortable than home. I would love to have the chance to return there soon.

We liked the fully self contained apartment where you can cook or prepare your own breakfast and dinner. Very good space, and the apartment is cosy and nice. Sufficient heaters all aoround to keep us warm, as it was snowing heavily in mid April 2024. But we really liked this apartment and though we are more than 1/2 the world away, we will be back to do the mountains activities as most were closed due to the heavy snow.

Can't beat the location, incredibly easy and convenient to get to. The staff were very accommodating and friendly and even gave suggestions to activities in the area. All spoke a good level of English so communication was very easy. Rooms were spacious enough and had good ammenities. We had a mountain view room which did not disappoint! . Breakfast was good and had a decent range of options. We also dined in at the hotel restaurant for dinner and had some good service and meals from the staff. Would recommend to others!

The included breakfast was good with very friendly service to start our days when staying there. The room was clean and spacious with extra storage space. The sauna area was great and we really loved it. Location was perfect as close to everything, within walking distance to train stations, first mountain entrance, and restaurants. The Barry's restaurant downstairs was great and was our dinner go to place throughout the stay.

The location from out Bedroom window has the back drop of the mountains. Unbelievable to wake up to. Easy check in process, great room, great breakfast provided. Terrace to enjoy dinner, drinks or breakfast if the weather was nicer. Small issue with the shower but nothing to worry about.
