Absolutely perfect stay! The room was really spacious and clean with comfy beds and bottled water. Warm, cosy and peaceful so had a lovely nights sleep. We had dinner here too and it was delicious. Big portions, very tasty and excellent service even though it was very busy. We let them know the evening we arrived that we are all vegetarian so they made us a special vegetarian breakfast in the morning which was very yummy.

Andrew & Steph who run the property (B&B) were exceptional hosts - we turned up over an hour late, freezing cold, in soaking wet bike kit post 2 hours of rain. Not only did they extend the kitchen opening time to allow us to have dinner, they washed and dried all our cycling kit for the next day. I cannot express how grateful we were to them, they went well over and above our expectations. I cannot recommend their B&B highly enough!

We particularly enjoyed the combination of busy historic inn/restaurant with boutique hotel rooms in a central location opposite the cathedral. The vibe was informal and relaxed but, at the same time, busy. The room was spacious, comfortable, and very quiet. Staff were friendly and enthusiastic.
