The host is wonderful! She is always so kind and friendly. She definitely feels more like a friend than a host but is still very accommodating and professional. Our AC wasn’t fully working so she got us a fan and offered for us to move into a room where the AC worked. She was very apologetic and helpful. The place is very simple but had everything we needed and was mostly clean. There is also a very sweet cat, Mushy, that comes around sometimes :)

Lanta Smile Inn and Mr. Yim, the owner and manager, are the best!! What a fabulous stay we had🥰. The facility is well-stocked with everything and is squeaky clean. Mr. Yim goes out of his way to make everything perfect for his guests. He knows everything, and/ or will find out from tours to where to find things. The daily fruit and snacks are just the cherry ontop. We extended our stay with another few nights and will be back. We have made a good friend.

One of my favourite accomadation of my whole trip. If you come to Koh Lanta you MUST stay here! It is super spacious with an outside bathroom, sink and hammocks to chill. Sometimes you are fully surrounded by water then watch the tide roll back out. Wake up around 6 am and watch the sunrise over the water! It’s so peaceful ! I love how it feels rustic, but also modern, clean and not bugs everywhere (so you can fully relax) It’s a 5 minute walk to the old town where you can eat, and a 7/11 just around the corner.

We stayed for 5 nights and are a family of 4 (8 & 11 yr old children). The hotel itself is lovely; very relaxing, nice size room and lovely pool. It had a very chilled out vibe. The hammocks outside the rooms and in the beach are great. There is a 7-11 store very close which is handy and the Muay Thai boxing club opposite is absolutely fantastic. They run children beginner classes and adults classes at really reasonable cost.

Old world rustic charm, good sized room. Lovely staff. It's right on the beach. In that the Pimalai is further along, it's unlikely the area will be developed further, which has not changed in the last decade. It's quiet with a number of good restaurants nearby - Drunken Sailor and Same Same are both excellent, well established family businesses.

the resort was exquisite in every aspect. The staff and owners were super-helpful and friendly. The combination of Thai culture with the guidance of the Swiss owners seems to be a winning combination.
